Tiger Schulmann’s Mixed Martial Arts of East Brunswick will host a charity carnival, along with the East Brunswick Fire Department, to benefit Tommie Lukowski, an East Brunswick Firefighter who has been battling cancer for the past five years.

The carnival will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 19 at the Loehmann’s Plaza Shopping Center, 233 Route 18.

Independent Spotswood Girl Scout Mia Gahrmann, a seventh-grader, is sponsoring a collection drive for New Eyes For The Needy, a charity organization that donates glasses to those in need throughout New Jersey. Mia has located a drop box at the front counter of the Spotswood Public Library, 548 Main St.

The drive will end on Memorial Day weekend. All donations are appreciated.
