EAST BRUNSWICK — Police charged a South River man with filing a false report after determining that he allegedly fabricated a story about an armed robbery.

Police received a call about an armed robbery at 7:44 a.m. Feb. 8 in the area of Parker Street and Fetyko Avenue. As officers arrived, they spoke to the alleged victim, Glauco Cardoso, 26.

The New Jersey Youth Symphony will perform at the East Brunswick Performing Arts Center (EBPAC), located at the Hammarskjold Middle School, 200 Rues Lane.

JAMESBURG — June Rizza was disappointed for her two young children when she learned that after-school programs had been cut due to budgetary concerns.

Around the same time, Rizza, an avid runner and resident of the borough for the past seven years, saw a feature in Runner’s World magazine about a national organization called Fit Girls.

Disillusioned by council’s action on shelter

What a disappointment watching the East Brunswick Township Council. Without any discussion regarding the difference between a “no-kill” shelter and a “kill” (“low-kill”) shelter, it unanimously voted to continue utilizing the Helmetta shelter. There wasn’t an animal-friendly council member amongst them.

Special Strides, Monroe, is a nonprofit devoted to improving the lives of children with developmental disabilities by offering programs that combine horses and therapy. The organization provides for all children regardless of financial status.
