Ralph J. LaTesta
As he got older, a military hat suited him well as he proudly served his country as a member of the Army through World War II and the Korean War.
He later met the love of his life and wore the hat as husband to his late wife, Annie Marie.
As a truck driver and employee of the East Brunswick Township road department, he was an amazing provider for his family. His brightest moment was when the role of father came around when his surviving children, Deborah Wolf and Stephanie Barr, were born. While any man can be a father, Ralph was also a loving dad to the two men who came into his daughters’ lives, Sy Wolf and Keith Gucwa. His family felt he really excelled when he added a new hat as grandfather to Justin Wolf, Kristen Gucwa and Ryan Gucwa. He instantly became their hero. Most recently, the two gems of his eye arrived when Justin and Angelika made him a greatgrandfather to two beautiful boys, Brody and Dylan Wolf.
With all of these hats, it was amazing that he was able to also be a hero to all who loved him. He was an amazing listener, a confidant and a remarkable best friend to all his family, friends and relatives.
The world gained an angel when he passed away on Aug. 22 in Brandon, Florida.
A celebration of the many hats he has worn will take place from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Aug. 27 at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. He will be laid to rest at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 28 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 470 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick.
