      E.B. Hadassah to hold
      July 18 ‘Game Party’

      The East Brunswick Chapter of Hadassah will hold a "Game Party" at 11:30 a.m. on July 18 at a private home. Participants are asked to bring a favorite game. A dairy lunch will be served.

      Cost is $10. Proceeds will benefit Hadassah’s Youth Aliyah, Children in Need.

      E.B. Library displays

      stamp art, paintings

      The East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center, is offering two exhibits for the month of July.

      Susan Sclar’s rubber stamp art is on display in the library’s glass cases. The Old Bridge resident’s work includes unique decorative cards, boxes, pins, trays and clocks created with rubber stamps.

      On the walls throughout the month are acrylic, oil and watercolor paintings by East Brunswick residents Merle Lipman and her son, Gregg Lipman.

      Channel 3 to broadcast,

      offer graduation video

      EBTV-Channel 3, East Brunswick’s municipal access cable channel, will cablecast the East Brunswick High School graduation ceremony in its entirety several times during the summer. The original commencement exercise for the class of 2001 was held on June 19 at the Rutgers University Athletic Center, New Brunswick.

      The cablecast schedule is as follows: Thursdays, July 19 and 26 at 8:30 p.m.; Tuesdays, Aug. 7 and 21 at 7 p.m.; and Saturdays, Aug. 11 and 25 at 1 p.m.

      Individuals who wish to purchase a VHS videotape of the ceremony in a commemorative box may still do so at a cost of one video for $30, two for $55 and three for $75. Buyers should add $4 for shipping and handling no matter how many video copies are ordered and allow four weeks for delivery.

      Checks should be made payable to The East Brunswick Library and mailed to EBTV, The Library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center, East Brunswick NJ 08816. For each tape ordered, $2 will go to the East Brunswick Education Foundation.

      Free summer concert

      series continues in E.B.

      A free summer concert series, sponsored by the East Brunswick Division of Recreation and Community Services and the East Brunswick Arts Commission, will continue with the Caribbean sounds of No Discipline at 7 p.m. on July 16 outdoors at the municipal complex, Jean Walling Civic Center.

      Concertgoers should bring a lawn chair or blanket and dinner or a snack. In case of rain, the entertainment will take place inside the Senior Center.

      S.R. rec offers trip to

      Trenton Thunder game

      Tickets are still available for the South River Parks and Recreation bus trip to the Aug. 22 "Fan Appreciation Night" Trenton Thunder vs. Norwich Navigators baseball game at Waterfront Park. There will be fireworks after the game. The bus will depart at 7:05 p.m. from the South River High School parking lot, Montgomery Street.
