      JEANNE P. ALESSANDRO, 51, of East Brunswick died Jan. 25 at home. Surviving are her husband, Thomas; a daughter, Amanda, and a son, Andrew; her mother, Anne Ruggiero; a sister, Mary; and a brother, Robert. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeanne P. Allesandro Baseball Scholarship Fund.

      DIVINA PINEDA ARAHAN, 40, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Jan. 21 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Victorino A. Arahan; two daughters, Vernice and Darienne Arahan, both at home; her parents, Pascuale and Remedios De Guzman Pineda; a brother, Jesus Pineda; a sister, Imelda Pangan; and four nieces. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

      NANCY ZOHLO BOYLER, 86, of Old Bridge died Jan. 26 in Berkeley Hall Nursing Home, Berkeley Heights. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard "Moe" Boyler. Surviving are a son, Richard E. Boyler of Old Bridge; three sisters, Jean Chunco of Old Bridge, Anne Biernacki of South River and Helen Morrow of East Brunswick; a brother, Edward Shymanski of Old Bridge; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. A service was held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

      KATHY EIBACH CASEY, 41, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge died Jan. 20 at home. She was employed as a secretary for the Old Bridge Police Department. Surviving are a son, Daniel Casey of Old Bridge; two daughters, Kristin Smith of Monroe and Corinne Casey of Old Bridge; her mother, Joan Eibach of Old Bridge; and a sister, Claire Marcinczyk of Sayreville. A Mass was offered at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

      JAMES R. ENGLISH, 73, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, formerly of Keyport, died Jan. 22 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He was predeceased by a son, William English, in 1978. Surviving are his wife, Ellen C. Robertson-English; five sons, Thomas English of Cliffwood Beach, James English, Michael English and Jonathon English, all of Keyport, and Dennis English of Albuquerque, N.M.; three daughters, Mary Ellen Aull and Debbie Haviland, both of Keyport, and Helen Hanrahan of Key Largo, Fla.; three brothers, John English of Sanibel, Fla., William English of Fort Myers, Fla., and Joseph English of the Morganville section of Marlboro; and nine grandchildren. A service was offered at St. Joseph’s Church, Keyport. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

      GEORGE JEFFRIES, 71, of Old Bridge died Jan. 23 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Coyle Jeffries; five sons, Kenneth of Richmond, Va., Robert of Monroe, James of New City, N.Y., William of Brick and David of Old Bridge; a daughter, Patricia Silowka of Sayreville; a brother, Thomas of Milltown; and 11 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

      MARION A. MANFRA JOHNSON, 81, of Spotswood, formerly of East Brunswick, died Jan. 28 at home. Her husband, James A., died in 1994. Surviving are three daughters, Betty Wunderly of Hackettstown, Jane Oehrlein of Marlboro and Judy Martino of Spotswood; three brothers, Virgil Manfra of St. Augustine, Fla., and Anthony and Louis Manfra, both of Staten Island, N.Y.; a sister, Virginia Tribiano of Old Bridge; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on Jan. 31 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Memorial contributions may be made to Haven Hospice, c/o JFK Medical Center, 65 James St., Edison, NJ 08818.

      ERNEST LEMIRE, 88, of East Brunswick died Jan. 18 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Mary Frances Lombardo Lemire, died in 2001. Surviving are a son, James Lemire of Sarasota, Fla.; a daughter, Ruth Schorpp of East Brunswick; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

      JOHN P. MAKRIS, 72, of Old Bridge, formerly of East Brunswick, died Jan. 21 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Margarita Grypeos Makris; a son, Perry Makris of Monroe; two daughters, Kris Hiller of the Toms River section of Dover and Irene Spahn of Palm Bay, Fla.; nine granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren. Services and a liturgy were held at Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, Holmdel. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

      GROVER CLEVELAND MOZINGO JR., 77, of Spotswood, formerly of South River and Monroe, died Jan. 22 at home. Surviving are his wife, Margaret M. Doyle Mozingo; two sons, Thomas of South Amboy and Peter J. of Maislon, Ohio; a daughter, Carol A. Clair of Norcross, Ga.; a brother, Thurston of Lukoma, N.C.; two sisters, Elgawanda Stuckey of Freemont, N.C., and Shriela Rose of Raleigh, N.C.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

      EVELYN SHIFFNER PEARCE, 78, of East Brunswick died Jan. 25 at home. Surviving are her husband, Ed; a son, Edgar A. Pearce of Clarkston, Mich.; a daughter, Robin Ramey of East Brunswick; two brothers, William Shiffner of North Brunswick and Ralph Shiffner of Franklin Township; and four grandchildren. A service was offered at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Milltown Rescue Squad, P.O.       RAYMOND H. PETERSEN, 92, of South River, formerly of East Brunswick, died Jan. 22 in Perth Amboy Nursing Home. His wife, Mary Rose Piatek Petersen, died in 2001. Surviving are two daughters, Constance Alexander of Banning, Calif., and Linda Koch of the Fords section of Woodbridge; three sons, Raymond of Palm Beach, Fla., Roy of Titusville, Fla., and Kenneth of Clarksboro; a sister, Helga Holt of California; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.

      ANDREW C. RISI, 47, of Old Bridge died Jan. 21 in Natick, Mass. Surviving are his wife, Hilda Horwath Risi; a son, Joseph, at home; and two brothers, Theodore Risi of California and Robert Risi of Colorado. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Cremation was private.

      BEVERLY LINDSTRON RIVERO, 62, of East Brunswick, formerly of South River, died Jan. 25 at home. Surviving are her husband, Jorge A. Rivero; a son, Albert J. of East Brunswick; a daughter, Beverly of Baltimore; her father, Norman of Jackson; her mother, Helen of East Brunswick; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

      FRANCES TRUSKOLASKI ROMANSKI, 84, died Jan. 26 in The Manor, Freehold Township. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Romanski. Surviving are a son, Walter Jr. of Sayreville; a daughter, Mary Ann Seiber of Freehold; a sister, Helen Ramey of Binghamton, N.Y.; a brother, Paul Truskolaski of Susquehanna, Pa.; and a granddaughter. A service is planned for 9 a.m. on Jan. 31 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Entombment will follow in Holmdel Cemetery.

      PHYLLIS SHUMER SCHLOSS, 59, of Monroe died Jan. 20 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Herb Schloss; two sons, Dr. Matthew Schloss of South Brunswick and Neil Schloss of Hoboken; and a daughter, Lauren Howard of Coconut Creek, Fla. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Floral Park Cemetery, South Brunswick.

      JOSEPH F. STAHL, 84, of Freehold, formerly of East Brunswick, died Jan. 23 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Margaret "Marie," in 1991. He is survived by a son, Joseph F. Jr. of the New Egypt section of Plumsted; a daughter, Mary Ellen Stahl of Fairfax, Va.; one grandson; and one great-grandson. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold Township. Interment was in the church cemetery.
