CHARLES La MASTER, 78, of Sayreville died July 9 at Kindred Health Care, Tampa, Fla. Born in Summit, he resided in Sayreville prior to moving to Lake Wales, Fla., 11 years ago. He was a machinist with the Breeze Corp., Union, for 45 years, retiring 15 years ago. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was predeceased by his wives, Marie Johnson La Master in 1977, and Lila Lynch La Master in 1995; and a sister, Jane Auna. He is survived by three sons, Charles La Master III of Colorado, Robert La Master of Sayreville, and Donald La Master of Lake Wales; two daughters, Nancy Bruno of South River, and Judy Hunter of Lake Wales; two sisters, Marie Smith of Forked River, and Aurelia Wallace of Spring Valley, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be July 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. A funeral service will be held July 13 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial at Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery. VINCENT FRANCIS COOK, 44, of Spotswood died June 30 at home. Born in Perth Amboy, he lived most of his life in Spotswood. Mr. Cook was a boilermaker for the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Local No. 28, Bayonne, for the past 25 years. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Spotswood. Mr. Cook is survived by his parents, Vincent P. and Muriel Cook, with whom he lived; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathleen and Perry Skinner of Charleston, S.C., Eileen and Jack Sinagra of East Brunswick, and Susan and Mark Uihlein of Essex, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. MARY ALLGAIR WEIS, 86, of South River died July 2 at Parker Home, Piscataway, after a long illness. She was predeceased by her husband, William M., Sr.; a daughter, Mary Ann Weis Frank; and a brother, Dr. William A. Allgair. Surviving are two sons, William M., Jr., and Robert C. of North Brunswick; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. A funeral service was held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, South River, followed by burial in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. INGE (née GOLDSCHMIDT) ADLER, 78, of Manalapan died July 3 at John F. Kennedy Medial Center, Edison. Born in Berlin, Germany, she had lived in East Brunswick for 20 years before moving to Manalapan in 1973. Mrs. Adler was predeceased by her husband, Kurt, who died in 1993. She is survived by two daughters Susan Weingarten of Kinnelon and Deborah Chalfin of Metuchen; two sisters, Gerda Strauss of Manalapan and Edith Wertheimer of Highland Beach, Fla.; and three grandchildren. Burial was in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin. JOSEPHINE REISH HAHN, 96, of Milltown died July 3 at the Haven Hospice at John F. Kennedy Hospital, Edison. She was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Frank; and a son, Clarence Duda. She is survived by two sons, F. Peter Hahn of North Brunswick and Thomas J. Hahn of Monroe; a daughter, Patricia Chorma of Milltown; a sister, Anne Franc of Piscataway; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John A., in 2001; two brothers, Alexander Zelenkow in 1973 and Wasily Zelenkow Jr. in 1982; and a sister, Olga Kasper, in 1984. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. FLORENCE M. KRUCZYNSKI, 64, of Sayreville died July 5 at home. Surviving are her sister, Stella Michalik of Sayreville; and two nieces and a nephew. A funeral mass was celebrated at Maliszewski Memorial Funeral Home, followed by burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville. ROBERT ERNEST MACKIE III, 54, of Spotswood died July 6 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge Division. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was predeceased by his father, Robert E. Mackie. He is survived by his wife, Bernadette (Bastek) Mackie; a son, Robert IV of Somerset; a daughter, Bonnie Jean Mackie, at home; his mother and step-father, Barbara and Harold Kareliussen of Rhode Island; two brothers, Alan of Cinnaminson and William of Arkansas; and a sister, Linda of Arkansas. Entombment was at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. MARILYNN BINDER KASTNER, 69, of Old Bridge, died at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She resided in Millburn and Springfield before moving to Old Bridge 42 years ago. She worked as a secretary at Bell Labs, Murray Hill, for several years. Surviving is her husband of 44 years, Richard T.; two sons, Richard T. Jr. of Jackson and Christopher of Milltown; two daughters, Teresa DeChiaro of Princeton and Deborah Petersen of Manalapan; a sister, Jacqueline Binder of Union; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 1034 Salem Road, Union. EDWIN R. NELSON JR., 54, of Helmetta died July 6 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He lived in Spotswood and Milltown before moving to Helmetta 31 years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was the son of the late Edwin R. and Viola (Bullis). He was predeceased by a brother, Jackie, in 1969. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Lesinski Nelson; a daughter, Stephanie of Parlin; two sons, Jeff of Monroe and Dennis of Milltown; a sister, Judi Martin of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and four grandchildren. Mrs. Kalicki was predeceased by her husband, John, and a brother, Cosmo Rafano, both in 1998. She is survived by a daughter, Ann Byron of South River; a brother, Fred Roselli of South River; five sisters, Helen Infusino of Monroe, Mary Fehrle and Kathryn Bongiovi, both of South River, Lillian Kuntne of East Brunswick and Asunta "Sue" Dill of South River; two grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. GIANNOTTI FURTH, 78, of Old Bridge died July 7 at home. Born in New Haven, Conn., she lived in Hightstown and East Brunswick before moving to Old Bridge this year. She was predeceased by her husband, David, in 1979; and a grandson, Kelly McDaniels, in 1996. Surviving are three sons, Frank Biddle of West Hartford, Conn., David E. Furth III of Delaware, and Glenn Furth of Bristol, Pa.; four daughters, Barbara MacFarlane of Trenton, Sandra Applegate of Levittown, Pa., Kim Schuler of Old Bridge and Karen Sheered of Dover; two brothers, Michael Giannotti of Wallingford, Conn., and Robert Giannotti of Clifton, Conn.; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Born in South Brunswick, he resided in North Brunswick for the past 19 years. He was a machine operator foreman at ITW Thielex, Somerset, for the past 20 years. He was an avid fisherman. He is survived by two former wives, Roxanne Bruno of Whiting and Sheila Ann Beltagy of Sayreville; a daughter, Ashley Winter Bruno of North Brunswick; three brothers, Daniel Bruno of Bridgewater, Gerald Bruno of Edison, and Kenneth Bruno of South Brunswick; three sisters, Dolores Plummer of Trenton, Virginia Belrosa of South Bound Brook, and Gene Vogel of Monroe Township; and several aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews. AILEEN BLANCHARD, 83, of Monroe Township and Searsport, Maine, died July 2 in Monroe Township. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in various New York towns before moving to New Jersey nine years ago. She was active with the Penobscot Marine Museum, Searsport. She was predeceased by her husband, Scott Blanchard Jr. She is survived by three daughters, Diane Marr of South Brunswick, Lynn O’Brien of Somers Point, and Susan Tambasco of Syosset, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Interment was in Searsport, Maine. STELLA A. KROLIK BONKOWSKI, 83, of Sayreville died July 7 at home. She was a seamstress for Wilshire Coat Co., South River, retiring 25 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon Bonkowski, in 1981. She is survived by two daughters, Rita Kurzawa of Sayreville, and Mary Barnes of Atlantic Highlands; a son, Leo of Sayreville; two brothers, Peter Krolik of Parlin, and Victor Krolik of California; two sisters, Julia Olszewski and Nancy Krolik, both of Parlin; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville. WILLIAM THOMAS SCHERER, 61, of Manalapan died July 5 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved to Old Bridge in 1971 and then settled in Manalapan in 1972. Mr. Scherer is survived by his wife, Lila Ann; his mother, Flora Dickman Scherer of Wilmington, Del.; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Debbie of Freehold Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Michelle Scherer-Martin and Craig Martin of Iowa City, Iowa; a sister, Pat Connor of Wilmington; and three grandchildren. GREGORY F. KNABLE, 29, of Sayreville died July 3 at Elizabeth General Hospital, Elizabeth. He was a lifelong resident of Sayreville. Surviving are his parents, Michael and Benita Rovi Knable, with whom he lived; and two sisters, Audrey Knable of Piscataway and Doreen Knable of Helmetta. Funeral services were private. JOYCE ANN ADDONIZIO, 48, of Marlboro died July 3 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in New Brunswick, she had lived in Old Bridge before moving to Marlboro 19 years ago. She is survived by her husband, Raymond J.; a daughter, Valerie N. Addonizio, at home; her father, Stanley Olsiewski of Old Bridge; a brother, Larry Siemiaszko of Freehold; and a sister, Mary Ann Buschhorn of North Brunswick. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown, followed by interment at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro. THERESA RUBIANO ANGULO, 78, of Parlin died July 2 at Bay Shore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was predeceased by three brothers, Alfredo, Bernardo and Salvatore Rubiano. Surviving are her husband, Anthony; two sons, Anthony and Charles K., of Parlin; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Joseph Rubiano of Jersey City, Fred Rubiano of Parlin and Al Rubiano of Wisconsin. RAMON MENENDEZ, 92, of Old Bridge died on June 30 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. He was predeceased by his wife, Amparo, in 1976. Surviving are two daughters, Blanca Ramos of Old Bridge, and Martha Ramos of Edison; a brother, Beningo, and a sister, Ramona, both in Spain; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
