Thanks go out to supporters of recent breast cancer walk

On behalf of the American Cancer Society volunteers and staff, I would like to thank the residents of central New Jersey for their generosity and support of our annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks. More than 2,500 people participated in this year’s walks at Princeton Forrestal Village and The Club at Woodbridge, raising more than $175,000 for American Cancer Society research, education, advocacy and patient services.

A special acknowledgment goes out to the hundreds of breast cancer survivors who led us in our walks; they are the reason we continue to fight. They give us hope and remind us of the importance of early detection.

We are also grateful to the volunteers who did an outstanding job of pulling the community together.

Again, thank you for supporting the American Cancer Society, and remember it’s not too early to become involved in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for next year. To find out how, contact the American Cancer Society at (800) ACS-2345.
