      RAYMOND COVERDALE, 77, of East Brunswick, formerly of Old Bridge, died Dec. 19 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Mr. Coverdale was a supervisor with Western Electric in Kearny before his retirement. He was also an inspector for HUD (Housing and Urban Development) for Old Bridge Township. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Coverdale is survived by his wife, June Coverdale; three daughters, Carolyn Stuart of East Brunswick, Lynn Keyes of Lanoka Harbor and Rayetta Coverdale of Bayville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.

      ROBERT G. "BOOTS" BERG, of East Brunswick died Dec. 16 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Mr. Berg was a truck driver at Anchor Motor Freight Co., Leaseway Freight Co., Allied Systems, and Mid Atlantic Truck Center. He is survived by his wife, Joan Beatty Berg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth George and Amy Berg of South River, and Jeffrey Robert and Deborah Berg of Helmetta; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was at Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.

      PHILIP J. CURRY, 90, of Old Bridge died Dec. 13 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Philip and Pauline Curry of East Brunswick, and Thomas and Rosemary Curry of Nanuet, N.Y.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Eileen and Thomas Sylvester of Old Bridge, and Marcelle and Gerard Mullaney of Kings Park, N.Y.; four sisters, Dorothy Murtha of East Stroudsburg, Pa.; Marjorie Takis of Florida; Marie Clancy of Virginia Beach, Va.; and Rose Curry of Florham Park; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Thomas Church, Old Bridge. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Queens, N.Y. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 846 Mair St., Fords 08863.

      JOHANNA VAN DUYVENBODE De MILD, 99, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Dec. 19 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital, Douglasville, Ga. Mrs. De Mild was predeceased by her husband, Charles De Mild, in 1981; and her sons, John De Mild in 2000, and Joseph De Mild this year. She is survived by two daughters-in-law, Patricia De Mild of Sayreville, and Nancy De Mild of Douglasville, Ga.; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Burial was at Hillside Cemetery, Lynhurst.

      ROSEMARY BOSWORTH, 77, of East Brunswick died Dec. 20 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Bosworth; and a brother, William Garvey. She is survived by four sons, Dr. Michael Bosworth of Springboro, Ohio, Kevin Bosworth of Milltown, Raymond Bosworth of East Brunswick, and Brian Bosworth of Spotswood; and seven grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick.       SASKO HRISTOV, 19, of Old Bridge died Dec. 17 following injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Westfield. He is survived by his parents, Ilija and Dzvezda Hristov, and his brother, Emil Hristov, all of Old Bridge. A funeral service was offered at Nativity of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church, East Brunswick. Burial was at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

      EUGENE W. ROGERS, 73, of Parlin died Dec. 21 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Mr. Rogers was a machinist with Hercules Inc., Parlin, for 18 years before his retirement. Prior to that, he was a machinist for American Can Co., Jersey City, for 30 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Fran Tint Rogers; a son, Kevin Rogers of Monroe; three daughters, Sue Rogers of Plainsboro, Christine Rakowski of Lakewood, and Cathleen Scalzo of Ware, Mass.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, Sayreville, followed by burial at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin. Memorial donations may be made to Children’s Specialized Hospital, New Providence Road, Mountainside.

      BARBARA PETERS HEISLER, 71, of North Brunswick died Dec. 19 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Newark, she resided in Edison before moving to North Brunswick in 1967. She is survived by her husband, Louis Heisler of North Brunswick; two daughters and one son-in-law, Beth Heisler of Jamesburg, and Sandee and Clem Whitman of North Brunswick; a sister, Irene Weinstein of New Brunswick; and three grandchildren.

      SIANG-HU HUANG of East Brunswick died Dec. 17. After earning a civil engineering degree at Purdue University in Indiana, Mr. Huang returned to China, where he worked in civil service and the private sector. He was predeceased by his wife, Ming-Yuh, in 1992. He is survived by seven children, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

      HAZEL "ROSE" KELMER, 78, of East Brunswick died Dec. 17 as a result of being struck by a motor vehicle. Mrs. Kelmer was a licensed practical nurse. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles Kelmer; a son, Charles Kelmer of Nanticoke, Pa.; a daughter, Elsie Syx of Helmetta; two sisters, Margie Dimeo of Newark and Mary Wirth of Florida; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery, North Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to the Purple Heart Association Chapter No. 10 in Milltown.

      CATHERINE MANNING, 90, of Keyport died Dec. 20 at Victoria Health Care, Matawan. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided there prior to moving to Keyport 17 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, James Manning in 1962; and a son, Robert Manning in 1969 in Vietnam. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Marion Manning of Hazlet; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Al Stanavitch of Old Bridge; four grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

      VICTORIA L. SAVITSKY-PREPUTNIK, 92, of the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen, died Dec. 18 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Preputnik, in 1975; and a stepson, Edward Preputnik. She is survived by her stepson, Michael Preputnik of South Carolina; her niece and nephew, Valerie Savitsky and Donald Lytkowski, both of Cliffwood; one granddaughter; and several other nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Joseph’s Church, followed by interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

      LORRAINE VENTIMIGLIA ROSEN, 63, of Parlin died Dec. 21 at home. Mrs. Rosen was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Rosen, in 2000. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Ventimiglia of Sayreville and Robert Ventimiglia of Staten Island, N.Y.; a brother, Owen O’Brien of Long Island, N.Y.; and two granddaughters. A Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, Sayreville.

      JANET SELTZER, 59, of Monroe, formerly of East Brunswick, died Dec. 15 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, after a year-long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). Mrs. Seltzer is survived by her husband, Stan; a son, Daniel; two daughters, Diane and Laurie; and two grandsons. Interment was in Beth Abraham Cemetery, East Brunswick.

      EMILY CYBULSKI SKOK, 91, of Sebastian, Fla., formerly of Toms River, died Dec. 16 in Palm Bay Hospital, Palm Bay, Fla. Born in Poland, she settled in Jersey City, and resided in South Brunswick and Toms River before moving to Florida. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Skok, in 1987. Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Stanley Jr. and Loretta Skok of Sebastian, Fla., Eugene and Leonia Skok of Jamesburg, and Walter Skok of Jackson; a daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Tom Coletti of Sebastian, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Services were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. A Mass was offered at Holy Trinity Church, Helmetta. Interment was in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Monroe Township.

      EILEEN J. SWEENEY, 86, of Spotswood died Dec. 18 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Ms. Sweeney was a claims approver for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., New York City, for 39 years. She was predeceased by a brother, Jack Sweeney, and a sister, Mary Cahill. Surviving are two sisters, Catherine Douglas of East Brunswick and Ann Douglas of Spotswood; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick, followed by burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y.
