Local businesses provided generous support during holidays

It is with heartfelt gratitude that I send this letter. On behalf of the U.S. Army, 411th Chemical Company, I would like to thank the following businesses for their support during this past holiday season: Stop and Shop of Somerset, Stop and Shop of Edison, Sam’s Club of East Brunswick and Wal-Mart of North Brunswick.

The brave men and women of the 411th Chemical Company have been on alert since the World Trade Center attack, and a number have since been deployed to Kuwait. The others continue to wait. As the family group leader (a volunteer civilian position) and wife of a U.S. Army sergeant, I can honestly say that it helps to know our loved ones are supported by our community. Through gracious gestures and donations, the above business leaders have proven their loyalty and support to the 411th, their community and America.

While we remember our fallen heroes of 9/11, please keep the members of our armed forces in your hearts and prayers. Be reminded that they leave behind loved ones who may experience great struggles during separation, financially, emotionally and spiritually. It is a sacrifice we all make to keep our communities and world a safer place.

And again, thank you, Stop and Shop, Sam’s Club and Wal-Mart for your support and generosity.

      God bless America.
