Cobra helicopter display engenders comfort, awe

I’d like to extend both my adult and youthful appreciation to American Legion Joyce Kilmer Post No. 25 of Milltown for its impressive display at the corner of Washington and Joyce Kilmer avenues.

The Cobra attack helicopter displayed is both a powerful and unique public example of our nation’s military. The helicopter, with its intimidating sleek design and impressive fire capability, represents mighty force.

As an American adult citizen, I’m both impressed and comforted by its presence. It continues to remind me of our nation’s strength and pride. As for the boy in me, I can only say that it is the coolest thing around town. My two sons, ages 5 and 8, are also fully impressed. Talk about a powerful silent recruiter. Who wouldn’t dream of flying a bird like that some day?

To anyone who has not yet seen the Cobra, you have to check it out. Its awesome nature cannot be ignored.

The American Legion deserves appreciation for keeping the powerful spirit of American pride alive in Milltown.
