Don’t build tower; install pumps at discount

Don’t build tower; install pumps at discount

Regarding the "Water Tank Back On-Line" story in the July 3 issue of the Sentinel — if Spotswood officials were truly interested in improving the water pressure, especially here at the "bottom end" of town near Old Stage Road, they wouldn’t have to go to the expense of erecting a second water tower. All they’d need to do is purchase some water pumps for the affected homes and sell and install them for 50 percent of the cost. It would certainly be much more cost-effective for everyone if the town had any interest at all in water improvement.

Also, regarding relining the water pipes — why weren’t the pipes along Adirondack Avenue dug up like those in the rest of the town? We still get brown water from time to time, which nearly ruined our washing machine and still stains our clothing. You can ask any of our neighbors here on the end near Old Stage Road and they’ll tell you the same thing.
