Business Briefs New business in Sayreville

SAYREVILLE — A new Dunkin’ Donuts eatery has opened its doors in the borough’s Parlin section.

The restaurant, located at the corner of Bordentown Avenue and Jernee Mill Road, held a grand opening celebration Saturday morning with help from state Assemblyman John S. Wisniewski and Sayreville Mayor Kennedy O’Brien, who cut the ribbon along with proprietor Kaushick Patel to open the business.

"This business will not only bring in new tax dollars, but it will also create over 20 new jobs for nearby residents," Wisniewski said in a press release. "This is a much-needed economic boost for the west end of Sayreville, and I thank Mr. Patel for making the decision to invest in Sayreville’s future by locating his newest business here."

The opening marks the 20th Dunkin’ Donuts store for Patel. Other stores in his chain are in the Woodbridge area, including Hopelawn and Fords. This is his first store in Sayreville.

"I wish a long and prosperous life to Dunkin’ Donuts and I thank Mr. Patel for deciding to make Sayreville the home for this new business," O’Brien said.
