Leslie P. Niedermeier Mr. Niedermeier, 72, of Spotswood, formerly of Old Bridge, died Oct. 12 in Cranbury Care Center, Monroe. Prior to his retirement in 1996, he was a custodian for Appleby School, Spotswood, where he worked for 15 years. Before that, he owned Irene’s Deli, Spotswood, for 10 years. Surviving are his wife, Irene Schneider Niedermeier; three sons, Alan Niedermeier and Craig Niedermeier, both of Spotswood, and Glen Niedermeier of West Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Association.Rita Marie Burns Cicchi Mrs. Cicchi, 73, of Highland Park, formerly of North Brunswick, died Oct. 11 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Cicchi, and by a daughter, Linda LaDuca. Surviving are a daughter, Adrienne Rodgers of Panama City, Fla.; and a sister, Blanche Burns of Milltown. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, New Brunswick. Arrangements were under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. David LaRosa Mr. LaRosa, 54, of South River died Oct. 13 at home. Surviving are his parents, Sal and Laura LaRosa of East Brunswick; a son, Todd LaRosa of Princeton; and two brothers, Matt LaRosa of San Diego and Frank LaRosa of East Brunswick. Graveside services were held at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Arrangements were under the direction of Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick.Ralph Toto Mr. Toto, 77, of East Brunswick died Oct. 10 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a founding member of Toto Brothers Inc., East Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Theresa; three sons, Anthony of Clovis, Calif., Lenny of Freehold and Ralph of Monroe; three daughters, Caroline Chemerynski of Flemington, Maria O’Connor of Winchester, Mass., and Teresa DiCarolo of East Islip, N.Y.; two brothers, Louis and Antonio; a sister, Mafalda Nervegna; a sister-in-law, Isabelle Toto; and 13 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Wallace Sr. Mr. Wallace, 70, of East Brunswick died Oct. 8 at home. A daughter, Theresa Wallace, died in 1989. Surviving are his wife, Anna Yasson Wallace; four sons, Lloyd Wallace Jr. and James Wallace, both of Spotswood, Robert Wallace of Old Bridge and Mark Wallace of East Brunswick; two daughters, Louise Pasqua of Hamilton and Elizabeth Tattory of Yardley, Pa.; a brother, Paul Wallace of Lehighton, Pa.; and two sisters, Mary Handwerk of Spotswood and Shirley Krosulic of Mohoning, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Nolan Mr. Nolan, 40, of South Plainfield, formerly of Old Bridge, died Oct. 8 in Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, Plainfield. Surviving are his wife, Vera Nolan; two daughters, Devynn Nicole Nolan and Giovanna Marie Nolan, both at home; his parents, James T. and Joanne Sirois Nolan of Old Bridge; a sister, Mary Beth Edwards of Alpharetta, Ga.; and a brother, Patrick F. Nolan of Allentown. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Plainfield. Interment was in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Ann Cunningham. Surviving are her husband, John Foley Sr.; a son, John Foley II of Old Bridge; a sister, Angela Greco of East Brunswick; a brother-in-law, Frank Foley; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Robert C. Potter Mr. Potter, 81, of Milltown, formerly of North Brunswick, died Oct. 15 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1973, he was the owner of Jane Logan Shoppe, Milltown, for 10 years. He also worked as an independent insurance broker. A former member of the Milltown Board of Education, he served as chairman of building and grounds during the building of Parkview School. He served as president of the Milltown Chamber of Commerce and was in charge of public safety while serving on the Milltown Borough Council from 1967-68. Surviving are his wife, Jean Booream Potter; two daughters, Peggy Wojtal of Milltown and Kathleen Ward of East Amwell; two sisters, Margorie Borieszo of Yardley, Pa., and Gloria Moore of Vero Beach, Fla.; three granddaughters; one step-grandson; and one great-grandson. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Milltown or to the Milltown Public Library. Services were held at Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. Interment was in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. John Sliczynski Mr. Sliczynski of Spotswood died Oct. 19 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Rose Schin Sliczynski; a daughter, Janice Sliczynski of Spotswood; and a sister, Ann Michalowski, also of Spotswood. A Mass was offered at St. Stephen Protomartyr Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Francis Swirk Mr. Swirk, 72, of South River died Oct. 16 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 20 years by the South River Parks Department. Before that, he worked for Phelps Dodge, South Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Marlene Frenzel Swirk; a daughter, Diane Salko of Cream Ridge; a brother, William Swirk Jr. of Sayreville; and a grandson. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, East Brunswick. |
