Pet adoption shelter
to hold open house gala

Sayreville Pet Adoption Center, 1400 Main St., Sayreville, will host a Home 4 the Holidays open house from noon to 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 12. Similar events will be held by more than 1,200 other participating animal shelters around the world.

The open house will feature complimentary holiday refreshments and a holiday gift boutique offering new items for pets and pet lovers.

All pets adopted during the event will go home with a gift certificate that may be redeemed at Petco for an adoption gift booklet containing more than $180 in coupons and giveaways.

Kiwanis Club plans monthly meetings

The Kiwanis Club of East Brunswick meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of every month at Hammarskjold Middle School, 200 Rues Lane, East Brunswick.
