      plans networking event

      The East Brunswick Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce will sponsor an After-Hours Business Card Exchange from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Feb. 12 at D’Amico Lincoln-Mercury, 352 Route 18, East Brunswick.

      Cost for members is $10 in advance, $15 at the door; admission for nonmembers is $20. Participants are invited to bring a door prize and brochures and to present a two-minute commercial about their company.

      All businesses are welcome.

      Sood joins sales staff at

      Coldwell Banker, E.B.

      Hariom "Harry" Sood recently joined Coldwell Banker Residential Brokers as a sales associate in the firm’s East Brunswick office.

      Sood, who is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi, has a background as an information technology project manager for Merrill Lynch. He volunteers with the Interfaith Network of Care and is a member of the Middlesex County Board of Realtors.

      He has completed Coldwell Banker’s new associate training program, covering topics including marketing, real estate law and ethics, negotiations, computer training and customer service. The program, which is required for new sales associates, is the first step in the company’s ongoing program of career development and continuing education.

      A native of India, Sood has lived in East Brunswick with his wife Susan for the past 18 years. The couple has four children.

      Brill earns fifth-degree

      black belt in karate

      Barry S. Brill of Brill’s Karate and Fitness, Milltown, recently earned a fifth-degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo karate. A fifth-degree belt denotes achievement of a master level in the martial arts.
