      Michael Anthony Kovacs Jr., D.D.S.

      Dr. Kovacs, 78, of South River died March 3 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1995, he practiced general and pediatric dentistry in Old Bridge for 37 years. Surviving are his wife, Marion Schaffer Kovacs; two daughters, Sister Theresa Maria Kovacs, a member of the religious community of the Sisters Minor of Mary Immaculate, and Katherine Mary Minnefor of Milltown; a son, Michael A. Kovacs III of Old Bridge; and two brothers, Edward Kovacs of Clifton and Albert Kovacs of Lunenberg, Vt. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s University Hospital, 254 Easton Ave., New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

      Earl C. Wenger

      Mr. Wenger, 87, of Savannah, Ga., formerly of South River, died Feb. 26 in Memorial Health University Medical Center, Savannah. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Hercules Inc., Parlin section of Sayreville, where he had a 40-year career in polymer development and management. His wife, Doris Henry Wenger, died in 1993. Surviving are a daughter, Leslie Wenger Fitzgerald of Savannah; two sons, George Michael Wenger of the Somerset section of Franklin and Richard Wenger of Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Gerald Wenger of Mechanicsburg, Pa; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Conklin United Methodist Church, South River. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Memorial contributions may be made to Skidaway Island Untied Methodist Church, 54 Diamond Causeway, Savannah, GA 31411, or to the South River Historical Society.

      Stella M. Gondek Olszewski

      Mrs. Olszewski of Sayreville died Feb. 26 at home. She was a seamstress for 47 years prior to her retirement in 1986 from R&P Wash Suit Co., South River. Her husband, Frank Olszewski, died in 1967. Surviving are a daughter, JoAnn French of Sayreville; a son, Frank of Kenneth Square, Pa.; a sister, Catherine Jaskowiak of Old Bridge; two brothers, Stanley Gondek of the Somerset section of Franklin and John Gondek of Sayreville; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.

      Robert P. Tomasulo

      Mr. Tomasulo, 61, of Brick died Feb. 23 at Rock Shore Gardens, Brick. Surviving are a son, Robert C. Tomasulo of Monroe; a daughter, Gina Daddio of Old Bridge; a brother, Patrick Tomasulo of Toms River; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Old Bridge. Interment took place at Silverton Cemetery, Silverton.

      Robert D. Steiner

      Mr. Steiner, 60, of Sayreville died Feb. 28 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was em­ployed as service manager at Thomas and Chadwick Inc., and Riverside Supply Co., Sayreville, where he worked since 1965. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Chadwick Steiner; a daughter, Maureen Wistuba of Sayreville; two sons, Brian Steiner of Sayreville and Stephen Steiner of Johnstown, Colo.; a sister, Brenda Loesch of Howell; a brother, William Loesch of the Colonia section of Woodbridge; an aunt, Tesse Firczuk of Sayreville; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.

      Louis Zinis

      Mr. Zinis, 90, of Jamesburg died Feb. 27 at home. Surviving are his wife, Mary Daly Zinis; a son, Edward Zinis of South Brunswick; two daughters, Judy Zinis of Princeton and Linda Noviello of Freehold; a brother, Gabriel Zinis of the Toms River section of Dover; a sister, Flora Byeff of Riverdale; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was private. Memorial contribu­tions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Central New Jersey Hospice.

      Robert E. Mann

      Mr. Mann, 77, of Spotswood died March 5 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. He was formerly em­ployed as a supervisor at Helm Corp., Helmetta, where he worked for 41 years. His wife, Jean A. Jackson Mann, died in 2000. Surviving are two daughters, Christine Klingel and Roberta Fowler, both of Sarasota, Fla.; a stepson, Wayne Warrick of Edison; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

      Ernest "Chubby" Castrorao

      Mr. Castrorao, 74, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died March 9 in Trinitas Hospital, Elizabeth. Surviving are his wife, Marguerite Ferrara Castrorao; two sons, Ernest Jr. of North Plainfield and Ralph of East Brunswick; three daughters, Gigi Castrorao of Parlin, Michele Pasquale of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Renee Castrorao Raftery of Sparrow Bush, N.Y.; three broth­ers, Andrew and Joseph Castrorao of Florida and Nicholas Castrorao of the Toms River section of Dover; and six grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on March 12 at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery, also South Amboy. Memorial contributions may be made to Sayreville Brain Injured Children, Jernee Mill Road, Sayreville, NJ 08872.

      Alfred E. "Alfie" O’Connor

      Mr. O’Connor, 73, of South Amboy died Feb. 29 in JFK Medical Center, Edison. Prior to his retirement in 1992, he was a street foreman for the City of South Amboy, where he worked for 35 years. Surviving are his wife, Maureen Jones O’Connor; three sons, Edward O’Connor and Sean O’Connor, both of South Amboy, and Thomas O’Connor of the Morgan section of Sayreville; two daughters, Maureen Collick of South River and Nora Kinsella of Townsend, Mass.; a sister, Nancy Kenny of South Amboy; and 10 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.

      Michael M. Maione

      Mr. Maione, 85, of East Brunswick died March 6 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His first wife, Josephine, died in 1991. Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline Bouquillon Maione; a daughter, Marlene Pelo of Highland Park; four sisters, Helen, Fay, Ann and Angie; three grandsons; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was of­fered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.

      Ann F. Davey Kozlowski

      Mrs. Kozlowski, 80, of the Morgan sec­tion of Sayreville, formerly of South Amboy, died March 6 at home. Surviving are her husband, Edward "Hank" Kozlowski; a daughter, Judy Wallace of Bradley Beach; a son, Edward Kozlowski of New York City; a brother, Arthur Davey of Holmdel; a sister, Margaret Lazar of Boca Raton, Fla.; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.
