SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) Chapter 14 will hold a workshop titled “Personal Financial Planning for Business Owners, Graduates and Young Families” from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 at Raritan Valley Community College, North Branch section of Branchburg.

The hands-on workshop is geared toward those who want to make capital improvements that will enhance their lifestyles. Consultants from SCORE will help participants prepare a financial plan that will help them handle their finances responsibly.

The goal of the program is to acquaint individuals with budgeting and managing expenses, credit cards and other debts. Participants will present their financial plan to SCORE counselors acting as bankers.

Fee is $25 and includes materials and tuition. Each participant will receive a copy of the book “Starting and Managing Your Own Business in New Jersey.”

For more information and to register, call (908) 218-8871.
