Where has the Spotswood First Aid Squad gone?

I have been noticing Monroe First Aid ambulances responding to Spotswood more calls than usual. The new sport utility vehicle (SUV) the Spotswood squad has obtained is rarely seen.

On Wednesday, Oct. 27, I was involved in a four-car accident on Summerhill Road, between North Street and Vaughn Avenue. It took more than 20 minutes for a Monroe ambulance to respond, yet there was a Spotswood First Aid vehicle parked around the corner. Was no one on duty at the first aid squad

If the Spotswood First Aid Squad is defunct or having problems, I have no wish to ever receive a $500-plus bill from Monroe for use of their services if my taxes are already supporting my own town’s first aid squad.

Shouldn’t there be someone on call to respond in Spotswood, especially in the morning and afternoon school times? If someone had been seriously hurt in the incident I was in, I would have feared for his or her chances of prompt medical help.
