      Dolores Dominiecki

      Ms. Dominiecki, 68, of Freehold, formerly of South River, died Feb. 21 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Surviving are a brother, Ronald Dominiecki of Monroe; two sisters, Denise Bodnar of South River and Diane Bara of Bishopville, Md.; and several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services were held. Arrangements were under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold.

      Viola Rist Laizure

      Mrs. Laizure, 95, of East Brunswick, died Feb. 28 in Sunrise Assisted Living, East Brunswick. Her husband, Raymond C. Laizure, died in 1974. Surviving are a son, Raymond Laizure Jr. of Shohola, Pa.; two daughters, Dolores Susik of East Brunswick and Barbara Fusco of Marco Island, Fla.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Private services were under the direction of Cremation Services of Central New Jersey, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Central New Jersey, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank, NJ 07701-9978.

      Anne Vargo Skowronski

      Mrs. Skowronski, 72, of South River, formerly of East Brunswick and New Brunswick, died Feb. 25 at home. Prior to her retirement in 1993, she was a hairdresser, operating a salon out of her home in South River for 30 years. Surviving are her husband, Chester; a daughter, Luanne Sozio of Burlington; three brothers, Andrew Vargo of Clarks Summit, Pa., and Paul and Charles Vargo, both of Avoca, Pa.; a sister, Mary Squirlock of Moosis, Pa.; a son-in-law, Mark Sturtevant; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.

      Kathleen P. Soloducha

      Mrs. Soloducha, 80, of Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Milltown, died Feb. 22 in Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach. She was predeceased by two sons, Stanley and Gerald, and by a daughter, Eileen Maher. Surviving are her husband, Stanley Soloducha; a son, Francis of North Beach, Md.; a daughter, Yvonne Casey of Bordentown; two sisters, Helen D’Allara of the Bronx, N.Y., and Margie Fantucchio of Sound Beach, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on March 5 at St. Mary’s Church, Bordentown. Interment of cremains will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

      Samuel Douglas Smith Jr.

      Mr. Smith, 82, of Spotswood, died Feb. 21 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1983, he was employed by the Pettibone Construction Co., East Brunswick, where he worked for 28 years. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis; two daughters, Susan Capello of Wurtsboro, N.Y., and Cheryl “Cheri” High of Spotswood; two sisters, Dolores Harrington and Betty Smith; three brothers, James D., Charles and Thomas Smith; a grandson and a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were under the direction of Scarr Funeral Home, Suffern, N.Y. Interment was in Brick Church Cemetery, Ramapo, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, GA 30368-2454.

      Olga Liubanec Stresz

      Mrs. Stresz, 93, of East Brunswick, died Feb. 21 at home. Prior to her retirement, she was a seamstress in South River for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Kiryl, and by a daughter-in-law, Catherine. Surviving are two children, William of Rochester, N.Y., and Maria Troicki of East Brunswick; two sisters, Anna Grabko and Katherine Puntus; five grandchildren; and eight grandchildren. A service was held at St. Euphrosynia Belarusian Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery.

      Janine Brennan Adamusik

      Mrs. Adamusik, 45, of East Brunswick, died Feb. 27 at home. She was predeceased by her father. Surviving are her husband, Michael Adamusik; a daughter, Amy Brennan of Brick; a stepson, Dylan Benson-Adamusik of Old Bridge; her mother, Jane McLoughlin Brennan of Barnegat; a brother, Paul Brennan of Maryland; a sister, Kathleen Brennan of Rockaway; and a grandson. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on March 4 at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Brunswick Rescue Squad, 346 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.

      Jean A. Cordes Banks

      Mrs. Banks, 82, of Sayreville, died Feb. 23 at home. Surviving are three daughters, Susan M. Pospisil of Lacey’s Spring, Ala., Melissa A. Banks of Sayreville and Patricia L. Banks of Hoboken; three nieces, Kathy Antonitis, Marge Rojewski and Susan Teller; and a nephew, Robert Teller. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Memorial contributions may be made the Sayreville Historical Society or to Sayreville United Methodist Church.

      William Forrai

      Mr. Forrai, 82, of East Brunswick, died Feb. 23 in Care One, East Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 2003, he was a self-employed blacksmith and welder for many years. Surviving are his wife, Olga Benedict Forrai; a son, William Forrai Jr. of East Brunswick; and two grandchildren, Kara and Tyler. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.

      Matthew J. Chionchio

      Mr. Chionchio, 88, of Sayreville, died Feb. 25 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1979, he was a machinist with Hercules Inc., Parlin section of Sayreville, where he worked for 43 years. He also was a self-employed plumber in Sayreville for many years. His wife, Helen Sosnowitz Chionchio, died in 2004. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Zagata of Sayreville; three sons, Matthew “Ponch” Jr. and Paul, both of Sayreville, and Jonathan of Palm Harbor, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

      Dennis Reisert

      Mr. Reisert, 54, of Aberdeen, formerly of Sayreville, died Feb. 25 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. He was the owner and operator of Reisert Contracting, Aberdeen. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Goldia Reisert. Surviving are his wife, Denise “Dino” Hibberd Reisert; two brothers, John Reisert of Spotswood and Charles Reisert of East Brunswick; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, South Amboy.

      Kathleen Kriss

      Ms. Kriss, 43, of South River, formerly of Sayreville, died Feb. 26 at home. Surviving are her companion, Charles Metz; her mother, Constance Hage of Sayreville; her father, Ben Kriss of Wall; three brothers, Matthew of Bayonet Point, Fla., Michael of Manasquan and Daniel of Sayreville; a sister, Debra Kriss-Zub of the Clermont section of Dennis Township; a brother-in-law, Gerald Zub of East Stroudsburg, Pa.; four nieces and one nephew; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Services were held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Interment was in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall.       John Travis Fryzowicz

      Mr. Fryzowicz, 89, of Old Bridge, died Feb. 22 at home. With his late wife, Anna, he owned Fry’s General Candy Store, Old Bridge, for more than 45 years. His wife, Anna Stanik Fryzowicz, died in 1984. Surviving are two sons, Joseph of the Dayton section of South Brunswick and Travis of Spotswood; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Eckman Funeral Home, Spotswood.       Ann A. Stepko Jensen

      Mrs. Jensen, 90, of South River, died Feb. 22 at home. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a seamstress with South River Waist and Dress Co., where she worked for 10 years. Her husband, Hans Jensen, died in 1999. Surviving are a son, Jim Jensen of Marlboro; a sister, Ilene Buckalew of the Parlin section of Sayreville; two brothers, Frank Stepko of Parlin and Charles Stepko of Virginia; and a grandson. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Cremation was private.

      Giovanni John C. Cantalupo

      Mr. Cantalupo, 82, of Middletown, died Feb. 26 in Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills section of Pemberton. Surviving are his wife, Kelly Burke Cantalupo; three daughters, Christy Gigliobianco and Ellen Marie Cantalupo, both of Middletown, and Michelle Cantalupo of Old Bridge; three sons, Giovanni Cantalupo Jr. and Timothy Cantalupo, both of Middletown, and Butch Cantalupo of California; a brother, Tony Grand Cantalupo of Chatsworth, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.       Domenick Robert DeLisio

      Mr. DeLisio, 86, of East Orange, died Feb. 26 in Valley View Manor, Frenchtown. He was predeceased by his wife, Marie Spinelli DeLisio. Surviving are two sons, Donald of Sayreville and Thomas of Naples, Fla.; a daughter, Linda Ingram of Sayreville; a brother, Louis; two sisters, Mary and Ida; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Cremation was private.

      John A. Gecek Sr.

      Mr. Gecek, 80, of Sayreville, died Feb. 21 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann Yanotka Gecek. Surviving are three daughters, Carol Ann Gecek, Michele Brodzinski and Ann Marie Kaeser, all of Sayreville; two sons, John Jr. of Liberty Township and Michael of Sayreville; two sisters, Anna Leathers and Helen Morgan, both of South Amboy; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy.

      Margaret Rizzo

      Mrs. Rizzo, 89, of Sayreville, formerly of Hazlet, died Feb. 23 at her daughter’s home in Sayreville. Her husband, Michael, died in 1979, and a son, John Rizzo, died in 2004. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Robert Anghelone of Sayreville; and a grandson, Adam Robert Anghelone of Sayreville. A Mass was offered at St. Benedict’s Church, Holmdel. Entombment was in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.

      William Kyles

      Mr. Kyles, 67, of Hazlet, formerly of Old Bridge, died Feb. 14 at home. His wife, Marie Kyles, died in 1985, and a daughter, Donna Kyles, died in 1976. Surviving are a daughter, Tara Kyles of Trenton; a son, Don Kyles of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; five brothers; two sisters; and four grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

      Josephine Zappulo Parnagian

      Mrs. Parnagian, 84, of the Parlin section of Old Bridge, died Feb. 19 in Briarwood Care Center, South Amboy. Her husband, Frank, died in 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Maria Colon of Manchester; a son, Anthony of Parlin; and six grandchildren, Christopher, Victoria, Lauren, Jennifer, Melissa and Frank. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.

      Domenica “Eva” Scolerta Stalteri

      Mrs. Stalteri, 101, of Atlantic Highlands, formerly of Middletown, died Feb. 25 in Atlantic Highlands Nursing Home. Her husband, Joseph Stalteri, died in 1984, and a son, Domenic Stalteri, died in 2001. Surviving are two sons, Michael Stalteri and Frank Stalteri, both of Old Bridge; two daughters, Catherine Stalteri Nesci of Hasbrouck Heights and Carmella Stalteri Norrell of Middletown; a sister, Mary Lopez of Florida; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. A Mass was offered at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
