FAN schedules two fund-raisers at library

The Monroe Township Library Families and Neighbors (FAN) group will sponsor two fund-raisers at the library, 4 Municipal Plaza.

A Tastefully Simple event is set for 6:30-8:30 p.m. on April 26 in the youth services section. A cash-and-carry demonstration, the fund-raiser will feature easy-to-prepare gourmet foods. Customers may choose from products in the catalog and order before the demonstration date.

FAN also is offering Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Kits at the library. Cost is $13 per box. Each kit will make 10 pretzels.

Blood drive scheduled

at Faith Fellowship

The Community Blood Council of New Jersey will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 23 during a health fair at Faith Fellowship World Headquarters, 2707 Main St., Sayreville.

The drive will be conducted under the auspices of the Charles E. Gregory School of Nursing Student Nurses Organization, Old Bridge; Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge and Perth Amboy; and Faith Fellowship Ministries World Outreach Center, Sayreville.

St. Bernadette’s dance

St. Bernadette’s Parish will sponsor a Spring Dance beginning at 6:30 p.m. on May 21 in the parish’s Lourdes Center, Villanova and Princeton roads, Parlin section of Old Bridge.

Cost is $25 per person and includes a buffet dinner, beer, wine and soda. Coffee and cake also will be served. There will be dancing to the music of a live band.

Giant Flea Market

to benefit food pantry

An Indoor/Outdoor Giant Flea Market is planned for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 23 at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Parkway, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge.

Proceeds will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry at the church. The parish kitchen will be open during the event.

vendors for flea market

Vendors are sought for the Simpson United Methodist Church Youth Group Outdoor Flea Market planned for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 7 at the church, Route 516 and Owens Road, Old Bridge. Rain date is May 14.

Spaces cost $15 each.
