      The Greater Middlesex Conference Football Coaches Association will hold its 15th Annual Spring Football Demonstration Clinic May 5 from 4-9 p.m. at East Brunswick High School. Clinicians include Kyle Flood of Rutgers, Jeff Knarr of Muhlenberg, Steve Azzanesi of Wesley, Rob Quigley of Ursinus, Jason Bratcher of Kean, Mike McCree of Wilkes, Mike Katz of William Paterson and Mike Cieri of Montclair State.       The Monroe Township Recreation Department Golf League is held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Clearbrook Golf Club. The weekly Tuesday tournament winners are:

      Nine-hole low gross: Bill Decker (42), followed by Bob Siminek (46).

      Nine-hole low net: Jay Fulton (30), followed by John Stefani (31).

      The team low gross was won by Stombauch and Stombauch.

      Adult residents and guests are invited to play on Tuesday (team play) and Wednesday (individual play) for a fee of $15, with the first tee-off at 4 p.m. For rules and to register, call the Monroe Community Center at (732) 723-5000 or e-mail tallen@monroerec.com.

      The U16 Cranbury Cyclones girls soccer team defeated the Edison Patriots 3-0. Sue Westock got the Cyclones on the board early in the first half when she took a cross from Emily Kotowski, dribbled past a defender and beat the keeper. Alyssa Gioino scored a few minutes later when she left-foot volleyed in a well-placed corner kick from Westock. Gioino closed out the scoring with her second goal midway through the second half on a feed from Kotowski. Jill Daidone and Ashley Hacket were strong in the midfield, while the back four of Stephanie Grub, Alessandra Mercuro, Katie Burke and Kristyn Pecsi played stellar defense in front of keeper Chelsea Wittman.

      The Cyclones also defeated the Cranford Vipers, 4-0, behind three goals by Danielle Cokely and a goal by Jill Daidone. Emily Kotowski chipped in with three assists, while Stephanie Grub had one. Danica Presepe had a solid game in midfield while Katie Burke, Kristyn Pecsi and Alessandra Mercuro were outstanding in defense helping Chelsea Wittman gain the shutout in goal.

      The Jamesburg Men’s Softball League is looking to add more teams to its weeknight league. Teams will play a double-header one night each week under the lights. Any questions, contact Tony at (732) 521-2222, ext. 111.

      The Spotswood Youth Baseball League is looking for a few dedicated, dependable and baseball-knowledgeable umpires for their minor division. Those interested must be at least 14 years of age to be considered. If interested, contact Jeff Szatkowski at (732) 723-3769 (after 5 p.m.)
