      Scouts Pet Purr-ade rescheduled for May 15

      The Sayreville Girl Scouts Cadette Troop No. 341 Pet Purr-ade Extravaganza, originally planned for April 30, has been rescheduled for noon to 2 p.m. on May 15 at Sayreville Borough Hall Park, Main Street. The event will be held to fulfill requirements for the troop’s Silver Award.

      All levels of Girl Scouts are invited to bring their pets in costume for the parade. Prizes will be awarded. Other highlights will include a pet photo booth and face-painting. Representatives of the Pet Therapy program at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge and Perth Amboy, will attend.

      The public is invited to view the event and to bring donations of pet food and pet supplies for the Sayrebrook Pet Adoption Center, Sayreville. Scouts also are encouraged to bring donations. For more information, call (732) 254-3083.
