The following are the results of the Tamarack Women’s Nine-hole Golf Association’s May 5 outing — Colored-ball tournament (pass ball around and keep its score as well as individual score); averaged handicap: The first place team was made up of Marge Widder, Doris Colgrove, Ann Marie Broehl and Rosanne Marosy with a 28, followed by the team of Abbey Lorber, Dot Teringer, Sandi Sulam and Joy Goldstein (32), and the team of Marion Batchelor, Ronnie Bohn, Joan Hoskins and Joyce Nicolaison (32). The fourth-place team was Joan Semen, Fran Poulin, Sally Deyette and Dolores Arace (36). Lorber had fewest putts with 15. At the May 12 outing — throwouts (players throw out their worst three holes); half handicap — Broehl won the A Flight with a 19, followed by Sulam (21), Widder (22) and Hoskins (23). Deyette won the B Flight with a 20, followed by Gail DiMaio (21), Bobbi Block (22) and Teringer (23). Helen Michna won the C Flight with a 21, followed by Nicolaison (23), Linda Pitone (25) and Gloria Frock (25). DiMaio and Widder had fewest putts with 16. At the May 19 outing — stroke play, full handicap — Mary Ann Gelsinon won the A Flight with a 31, followed by Inge Robinson (34), Hoskins (34) and Widder (35). Deyette won the B Flight with a 33, followed by Annabelle Donnamaria (33), Bobbi Block (34) and Alice Rich (34). Cathy Battista won the C Flight with a 31, followed by Madelyne DiMaria (33), Nicolaison (34) and Jeanne Reaph (37). Gelsinon had fewest putts with 13. At the June 2 outing — even holes, half handicap — Hoskins won the A Flight with a 16, followed by Ellie de la Bandera (16), Gelsinon (17) and Batchelor (18). Colgrove won the B Flight with a 15, followed by Lorber (16), Jean Ertle (16) and Block (16). Frock won the C Flight with a 10, followed by Gerry Hurley (14), Linda Pitone (15) and Fran Poulin (15). Joy Goldstein had fewest putts with 16. At the June 9 outing — blind partners, full handicap — Widder and Ertle took first with a 70, followed by Gail DiMaio and Rosanne Marosy (71), Hurley and Gelsinon (72), and Frock and Broehl (74). Ertle and Frock had fewest putts with 15.
The following are the results of the Tamarack Women’s Golf Association’s 18-hole Group’s May 31 outing — E & N Tournament: In flight A, Karen Eng won with a 35.5, followed by Betty Long with a 37.5 and Charlotte Casey with a 38. Flight B winner was Meryl Abramowitz with a 38, followed by Tres Wist with a 38.5 and Linda Weintraub with a 41. Flight C went to Agnes Olsson (38), then Carolyn Barscz with a 41 and Perry Pernice with a 44. Joan March had low putts. At the June 7 outing — odd holes only, 50 percent handicap — Karen Eng won Flight A with a 33.5 followed by Chung Hee Lee with a 36, and Betty Long with a 38.5. In flight B first place went to Meryl Abramowitz with a 37, then Tres Wist won second on a match card with a 37.5 and Doris Kohlberg took third Young Sook Kim had low putts. In flight C, first went to Agnes Olsson on a match card with a 42, while second went to Judi Weinberg. At the June 14 event — even holes only, 50 percent handicap —Flight A winner was Lelia Nelson with a 34.5, second went to Carolyn Meyer with a 38, and Karen Eng took third with a 39.5. Rita Reisert had low putts. Flight B was won by Doris Kohlberg with a 32.5, followed by Linda Weintraub with 37 and Meryl Abramowitz with a 39.5. Claudia Homoki had low putts. In flight C, Joan March won with a 35.5, followed by Judi Weinberg with a 37, and Christa Riley with a 39. Perry Pernice had low putts.
The New Jersey U14 Silver Bullets Wolfpack will have tryouts on Monday and Wednesday at 6 p.m. at East Brunswick Vo-Tech High School. There are still spaces available for the Spotswood Soccer Club annual soccer camp. The camp will be held Tuesday, June 28, through Thursday, June 30, from 5-8 p.m. at the Spotswood High School fields. Registration forms should be mailed in as soon as possible. Monroe Township Hoops Association is now accepting applications for the 2005-06 head coaching positions for all boys and girls travel teams. The Golden Bear Chargers Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading of East Brunswick and Spotswood will hold MiniCamp on the following days: Football players, June 27, 28 and 29 at Warndorfer School, East Brunswick. A Player Development Soccer School in East Brunswick is forming teams U8, U9 and U10 boys. There is also a program available for U5 and U7 boys. The following are the results for the Monroe Recreation Golf League’s June 7 event, played at the Clearbrook Golf Course. The nine-hole low gross was won by Frank Theer with a score of 45, while the low net went to Al Scamardella with a 36. At the June 14 weekly tournament, the teams of Charlie Case and Rich Domalewski, and Steve Deak and Mike Roberts had the nine-hole low team scores with a 42.
