Debra L. Drust Estelle Mrs. Estelle, 47, of Easton, Pa., formerly of Old Bridge, died June 14 in Easton Hospital. Prior to her retirement in 1998, she was employed as an administrative assistant in human resources with Revlon, Edison, where she worked for 25 years. Surviving are her husband, Michael Estelle; her parents, Leonard and Margaret Semko Drust of Old Bridge; a son, John Kenneally of Monroe; two stepsons, Michael Estelle of the Toms River section of Dover and James Estelle of South Amboy; a stepdaughter, Melissa Estelle of South Amboy; two brothers, Donald Drust of Cheshire, Conn., and David Drust of Old Bridge; and four grandchildren. Services were held at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Patricia A. McMahon Schwartzer Mrs. Schwartzer, 73, of East Brunswick, died June 17 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she was employed as a teller with PNC Bank, South River, where she worked for 25 years. Her husband, Thomas H. Schwartzer, died in 1990. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Thomas A. Schwartzer of Milltown and Michael E. Schwartzer of East Brunswick; a daughter, the Rev. Kathleen Schwartzer of Neptune; a brother, William McMahon of Staten Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. Services are planned for 10 a.m. on June 23 at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Betty Berkowitz Orloff Mrs. Orloff, 97, of Monroe, died June 17 in Cranbury Care Center. Her husband, Max D. Orloff, died in 1997. Surviving are a daughter, Merle Teschner of Rockaway; two grandchildren, Michael Harris Teschner and Allison Scott Teschner; and a great-granddaughter. Graveside services were held at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Arrangements were under the direction of Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Joseph P. Fleming Mr. Fleming, 76, of East Brunswick, died June 16 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Doris Fleming; two sons, Joseph Patrick Fleming Jr. of Eastampton and John Patrick Fleming of the Succasunna section of Roxbury; a brother, Lawrence Fleming of Englewood Cliffs; and five grandchildren, Joseph Fleming III, Sean Fleming, Thomas Fleming, Christine Fleming and Allison Bridget Fleming. Services were held at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
Mary M. Haddock Mrs. Haddock, 95, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly Sea Bright, died June 13 in Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, Fort Pierce, Fla. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Haddock, in 2001, and by a son, Gregory Haddock. Surviving are a daughter, Elaine Schulkin of Sea Bright; a brother, John Tully of Jamesburg; a sister, Alice Nelson of Alton, N.H.; and three grandchildren. A Mass was celebrated at Holy Cross Church, Rumson. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Chester, N.Y. Arrangements were under the direction of John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
Edward Hala Mr. Hala, 78, of Freehold, formerly of East Brunswick, died June 17 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Hala, in 1999. Surviving are three sons, Edward Hala Jr. of the Ringoes section of East Amwell, Thomas Hala of Homosassa, Fla., and Steven Hala of Florida; four daughters, Kathleen Hala of Neptune City, Patricia Burger of South Brunswick, Linda O’Donnell of the Somerset section of Franklin and Mary Elaine O’Dell of North Carolina; a brother, Anthony Hala of East Brunswick; a companion, Alice T. Sullivan of Freehold; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Jo Marie Huber Mrs. Huber, 92, of Fort Pierce, Fla., formerly of Milltown, died June 8 at home. Prior to her retirement, she was a sportswear buyer for 30 years with Roselle department store, New Brunswick. Her husband, Joseph G. Huber, died in 1998. Surviving are a brother, Joseph DeConie of Texas; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick.
Peter Rosamilia Sr. Mr. Rosamilia, 89, of East Brunswick, died June 15 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Louise Patierno Rosamilia; a son, Peter Rosamilia Jr.; two brothers, Otto Rosamilia and William Rosamilia, both of Belleville; three sisters, Emily Raimo of West Caldwell, Mae Guerico of Belleville and Katherine Vocacuro of Nutley; and a granddaughter. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Entombment was in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
Witold Elsner Mr. Elsner, 80, of East Brunswick, died June 15 in Maryfield Nursing Home, High Point, N.C. He established Continental Homemade Provisions, East Brunswick, retiring in 1999. His wife, Melania Partyka Elsner, died in 1999. Surviving are two sons, Karol of East Brunswick and Dr. Henry of Summerfield, N.C.; a niece, Elizabeth Drogomirecki of Old Bridge; six grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and two great-nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
James D. Grote Mr. Grote, 73, of Sayreville, formerly of East Brunswick, died June 16 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He owned two Sunoco service stations in East Brunswick for many years. After that, he worked at Quigley Co., Sayreville, and at Continental Insurance, Cranbury, prior to retiring. Surviving are his wife, Delores Kioski Grote; two sons, John Grote of Helmetta and James A. Grote of Sayreville; a sister-in-law, Marlene Kioski of Sayreville; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
Roseanna M. Brower Lyons Mrs. Lyons, 71, of South Amboy, died June 19 at home. Prior to her retirement in 1993, she was employed for many years as a clerical worker with E.I. DuPont, Parlin section of Sayreville. Surviving are her husband, Donald; two daughters, Marion Kenderish and Donna Lyons, both of South Amboy; a son, James Kenderish of Old Bridge; a brother, Joseph Brower of Fort Myers, Fla.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on June 23 at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
Anne Marie Zyskowski Mamrak Mrs. Mamrak, 58, of Trinity, Fla., formerly of South River, died June 12 in Tampa, Fla. Surviving are her husband, John Jr.; two daughters, Cheryl Wagner of Riverview, Fla., and Sandra Mamrak of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick; her mother, Carol Zyskowski of Sayreville; a brother, Anthony Zyskowski of Sayreville; and two grandchildren. A memorial Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Sayreville.
