Dorothy A. Breese Mrs. Breese, 71, of Freehold Township, formerly of Jackson, died Oct. 4 at home. She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin Breese; two sons, Michael and Stephen; and a great-granddaughter, Dakota. Surviving are a son, Marvin J. Breese of New York City; three daughters, Brenda L. Davis of Honesdale, Pa., and Linda Mueller and Wanda Wright, both of Monroe; a brother, Robert J. Wish of Manalapan; a sister, Patricia A. McKenna of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; five step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Marie Ann Kocsis Galley Mrs. Galley, of South River, died Oct. 6 at home. Prior to her retirement in 1986, she worked as a bank teller for Central Jersey Savings and Loan, South River. Her husband, Kenneth L. Galley, died in 1975. Surviving are a daughter, Lynn Mastromarino of Sinking Spring, Pa.; an uncle, John Nyitray of South River; and two grandchildren, Jenna and Robert. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Betty Laiken Greene Mrs. Greene, 82, of East Brunswick, died Sept. 29 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1974, she was employed for several years as a merchandise coordinator with Loehmann’s, East Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Irving; a daughter, Sharon Greene of Grapevine, Texas; two sons, David Greene of Philadelphia and Stacy Greene of Berkeley Heights; and eight grandchildren. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Helen Hayes Mrs. Hayes, 87, of Milltown, died Oct. 1 in Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River section of Dover. Prior to her retirement in 1980, she was a machine operator at George A. Milton Can Co., Cranbury, where she worked for more than 40 years. Her first husband, Andrew Lecky, died in 1955, and her second husband, George Hayes, died in 1997. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia A. Lecky of the Forked River section of Lacey, and a granddaughter, Lisa Ziobro, also of Forked River. A funeral liturgy was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
Mary Jane Bongio Ducote Mrs. Ducote, 76, of the Leonardo section of Middletown, died Oct. 6 in Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Surviving are her husband, Louis Ducote; two daughters, Janet Ducote of Middletown and Kimberly Schimmel of Monroe; and three grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Ray Johanesson Mr. Johanesson, 70, of Monroe, died Oct. 1 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Leonore Ericksen Johanesson; three sons, Carl and Brian, both of Staten Island, N.Y., and Gregg of Monroe; two daughters, Susan Natale and Donna Perroth, both of Monroe; a sister, Carolee Fish of Atlanta; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were held at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, East Brunswick. Cremation was private. Edward F. Uricks Mr. Uricks, 77, of Monroe, died Oct. 9 in Cranbury Center, Monroe. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Barker Uricks; two sons, Edward Uricks Jr. of Jackson and Gerard Uricks of Howell; a daughter, Kathleen M. Bunton of Freehold; a brother, Julian Uricks of Somers Point; and six grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
Robert A. Williams Mr. Williams, 70, of Monroe, died Oct. 2 at home. Surviving are his wife, Lizzie, and a sister, Negolia Wright of Orange. Prior to his retirement in 1997, he was employed as a pharmaceutical technician with Schering-Plough, Kenilworth, where he worked for 35 years. Services were held at New Beginnings Agape Christian Church, Freehold. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
Anne J. Gunia Drugos Mrs. Drugos, 85, of East Brunswick, died Oct. 3 at home. Prior to her retirement in 1982, she was employed in production with RJR Foods, Dayton section of South Brunswick. Prior to that, she worked for 20 years at Quaker Oats, North Brunswick. Her first husband, Edward Modzelewski, died in 1944, and her second husband, Frank Drugos Jr., died in 1987. Surviving are a son, Robert Drugos of South River; a brother, George Gunia, also of South River; two sisters, Marie Bay of East Brunswick and Elaine Fourman of Monroe; and two grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
Philip Arnold Voorhees Mr. Voorhees, 85, of Milltown, died Oct. 4 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1974, he was employed in the shipping department at Johnson and Johnson, North Brunswick, where he worked for 35 years. His wife, Sophia Aniskevick Voorhees, died in 1997. Surviving are two daughters, Jeanne Delikat of Logan and Patricia Ann Meredith of Kennewick, Wash.; a brother, Robert Voorhees of the Toms River section of Dover; a brother-in-law, Steve Aniskevick of Edison; a sister-in-law, Anne Mitsock of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A service was held at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Milltown. Interment was in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Milltown Rescue Squad, P.O.
