      Shawn David Bastek

      Mr. Bastek, 25, of East Brunswick, died Oct. 9 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his father, Alexander Bastek of East Brunswick; his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Alvin Stanhope; a stepsister, Sarah Stanhope; his grandmother, Eileen Bastek; and an aunt, Denise Bastek. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

      Gene Bellina

      Mr. Bellina, 53, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Oct. 3 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was employed as a chemical operator for the past 10 years with A.L. Wilson Chemical Co., Kearny. Prior to that, he worked for 15 years at Anheuser Busch Co., Spotswood. Surviving are his wife, Teresa M. Kasubinski Bellina; two daughters, Nicole Moore of Sayreville and Michelle Bellina of Parlin; his parents, Julia and Carlo Bellina of Sayreville; a sister, Carol White of Wynn, Ark.; and a brother, Carl Bellina of Parlin. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.

      Harriet Irene Bicchelli

      Mrs. Bicchelli, 80, of East Brunswick, died Oct. 7 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary at the East Brunswick Senior Center. Her husband, Alexander Bicchelli, died in 1973. Surviving are three daughters, Deborah Williamson of Kansas City, Mo., and Lori Naylor and Lisa Skarzynski, both of East Brunswick; a sister, Grace Johnson of Seattle; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton.

      Stanley Chojnacki

      Mr. Chojnacki, 83, of the Tennent section of Manalapan, died Oct. 13 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1991, he was an electrician with the Peter J. Schweitzer division of Kimberly-Clark, Spotswood, where he worked for 51 years. Surviving are his wife, Freda Smith Chojnacki; two sons, Steven of Tennent and Stanley Jr. of the Browns Mills section of Pemberton; five daughters, Sheila Drager of Howell, Rachel Chojnacki of Millstone, Irene Kaechele of Woodhull, N.Y., Colleen Hall of Sandy Hook, Conn., and Laura Rose Chojnacki of Barnegat; a brother, Frank of Pennsylvania; a sister, Jean Sykulski of Spotswood; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment was in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.

      Mildred “Mitzie” Huff Mathisen

      Mrs. Mathisen, 77, of the Morgan section of Sayreville, formerly of South Amboy, died Oct. 1 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are her husband, Arthur J. Mathisen; two sons, James A. Mathisen of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Paul Mathisen of Monroe; a daughter, Sue McPherson of Morgan; a brother, Donald Huff of Edison; and four grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy.

      Ronald V. Grekoski

      Mr. Grekoski, 28, of Old Bridge, died Oct. 4 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his parents, Ronald and Donna Marie; a sister, Kristine Grekoski, and a brother, Frank Grekoski, both of Old Bridge; a niece, Trista Marie Grekoski, also of Old Bridge; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Grekoski of Sayreville; and his maternal grandparents, Rose Marie and Patsy Popola of Sayreville. Funeral services were held at Sayre Woods Bible Church, Old Bridge. Arrangements were under the direction of Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville.       Cosimo Longo

      Mr. Longo, 69, of Milltown, died Oct. 8 in St. Peter’s University H

      ospital, New Brunswick. A daughter, Diane Longo, died in 1991, and a son, Lenny, died in 1969. Surviving are his wife, Antoinette Bumbaca Longo; a daughter, Judy Gonshor of Milltown; a son, David Longo of Milltown; a brother, Carmelo, and four sisters, Carmella, Josephine, Maria and Rose, all in Italy; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.       Marie Outwater McBride

      Mrs. McBride, 91, of Keyport, died Oct. 9 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Her husband, Harold McBride, died in 1987. Surviving are two nieces and their husbands, Nora and Richy Kelleher of Union Beach and Mary and Ed Kapuscienski of Milltown. Interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

      Sophie Dziedzic McHose

      Mrs. McHose, 94, of Neptune City, died Oct. 16 in MediCenter, Neptune. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, in 1988, and by a granddaughter, Heather Marie Evinger, in 1990. Surviving are a daughter, Carole Falotico of Bradley Beach; two sons, Joseph McHose and Raymond McHose, both of Monroe; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

      Harvey Simmons

      Mr. Simmons, 78, of Sayreville, formerly of Old Bridge and Helmetta, died Oct. 1 in Applegarth Care Center, Monroe. Prior to his retirement in 2002, he was employed with Compac Industries, Edison, where he worked for 30 years. His wife, Anna Jockman Simmons, died in 1994. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Mickiewicz of Sayreville; a son, David Simmons of Wrightstown; a brother, Frank Simmons of the Dayton section of South Brunswick; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Cremation was private.       Diane J. Onorati

      Ms. Onorati, 46, of Spotswood, died Oct. 14 at home. Surviving are her parents, Ray and Jeanne Valachi Onorati, with whom she lived; a brother, Louis Onorati of North Brunswick; an aunt, Rosemarie Bellesi of Spotswood; an uncle, John Valachi of New Hyde Park, N.Y.; and a niece and two nephews, Samantha, Anthony and Nicholas Onorati. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

      Betty Lou Theodore Nagy

      Mrs. Nagy, 55, of East Brunswick, died Oct. 3 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a hairdresser at The Hair Event, Milltown. She was predeceased by her father, Gregory Theodore. Surviving are her husband, Daniel Nagy; two daughters, Jennifer Nagy of Lyndhurst and Jillian Nagy of East Brunswick; her mother, Eleanor Theodore Strait of Sarasota, Fla.; and a brother, Gregory F. Theodore Jr. of Florida. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

      Cristina Marie Ritzema

      Cristina, 10, of Monroe, died Oct. 5 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a student at Kennedy Learning Center, Monroe. Her father, John P. Ritzema, died in 1997. Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Ruth Ritzema and Michael Weiss; a stepbrother and sister, Sam and Jamie Weiss; an uncle, Rob; her grandparents; her great-grandparents; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Cremation was private.
