      Jan. 12-15

      • Back-Issue Magazine Sale, during regular library hours, at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center. Magazines, which are from one-three years old and in good condition, are offered in packages of six-12 issues. Price is $3 per package, payable in cash or by check at the circulation desk. Proceeds benefit the East Brunswick Friends of the Library. All sales on first-come basis. (732) 390-6767.

      Jan. 13

      • Tricky Tray, sponsored by Spotswood High School DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America), doors open at 5:30 p.m., event begins at 7:30 p.m., at the high school, Summerhill Road. Snow date: Jan. 20. Tickets cost $5 in advance, $7 at the door. Only 400 tickets will be sold. Must be 18 years of age to attend. Alcohol not permitted. Free childcare available.       • Dance for Sixth-, Seventh- and Eighth-Graders, sponsored by St. Stanislaus Kostka HSA, 7-10 p.m., in the school gym, 221 MacArthur Ave., Sayreville. Admission is $5. Fully supervised event. For tickets, call (732) 254-0212 or (732) 254-5819.

      • Character Breakfast, sponsored by the Early Childhood Learning Center of Temple B’nai Shalom, 10 a.m., at the temple, Fern and Old Stage roads, East Brunswick. Magician, breakfast, raffles, surprise visitors. (732) 251-4300, ext. 227 or 230. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

      • Magic Show, sponsored by Etz Chaim Monroe Township Jewish Center, 3-5 p.m., at the Monroe Township Community Center, Monmouth Road. Clowns, magic, illusion, juggling, more.       • Trip to Resorts Hotel and Casino, Atlantic City, sponsored by the Sayreville War Memorial High School Band Parents Association. Bus departs at 10:30 a.m. from the school parking lot, Washington Road; return set for approximately 8:30 p.m. Cost is $25 per person, with a $22 return in slot cash.
