Monroe rec invites residents to fly kites

Monroe Township Recreation will sponsor Go Fly a Kite at Thompson Park from 9 a.m. to noon on April 22 in Thompson Park, on the soccer fields opposite the high school, Perrineville Road.

The event is open to Monroe residents of all ages. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants should bring their own handmade or store-bought kite. There will be prizes for smallest, largest and most innovative kite. Food will be available.

Registration is required.
