      Methodist Women sets April 29 flea market

      The United Methodist Women of Trinity United Methodist Church will hold its annual Indoor/Outdoor Spring Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 29 at the church, 70 Manalapan Road, Spotswood.

      The event will feature many vendors selling a variety of trash and treasure. There will be an indoor cafe and bake sale.

      Proceeds will benefit Smile Train and Doctors Without Borders.

      Outside vendor space is still available Cost is $10 per space; vendors provide their own tables.

      St. Stan's Spring Fling

      scheduled for April 29

      The St. Stan's Spring Fling '50s Dance and Comedy Night will be held from 7-11 p.m. on April 29 in the auditorium at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 225 MacArthur Ave., Sayreville. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The kitchen will open at 6:30 p.m.

      The event will feature DJ Rich Fling and comedy by Tony Pinkus. There will be a cash bar.

      Tickets cost $10 per person in advance, $13 per person at the door.

      Juilliard Trio to appear

      at piano dedication

      The Music at St. Mary's Concert Series will present a piano dedication concert featuring the Juilliard Trio at 4 p.m. on May 7 at St. Mary's Church, 256 Augusta St., South Amboy.

      The purchase of the new Young Chang grand piano was made possible, in large measure, by Roxanne Keegan and her daughters. The piano will be dedicated to the memory of Mrs. Keegan's late husband, Ronald J. Keegan.

      Admission to the concert is free of charge. The public is invited.

      Excursions to Italy,

      Grand Canyon slated

      The South River Office on Aging is offering two upcoming trips. Both excursions are open to the public.

      A nine-day trip to Italy will depart on Nov. 4. The tour will include Rome, Tuscany, Florence and Venice.

      A seven-day trip to the Grand Canyon in Arizona is set for May 24.
