'Bookcrossing' on tap for Aug. 7 at library

Suzanne Hye will appear at 1 p.m. on Aug. 7 at the Monroe Township Library, 4 Municipal Plaza, to present a session on "Bookcrossing," a method by which individuals can turn the world around them into a "library."

Bookcrossing is the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. The practice gives readers around the world a chance to share their favorite pieces of literature.

Registration for the program is now going on at the library circulation desk.

For more information on the event or on bookcrossing, call the library at (732) 521-5000 or log on to www.bookcrossing.com.
