The following are the results of the Tamarack Men's Golf Association's July 15 outing. Taking low net was Rudy D'Emilio (69), followed by Al Portano (70) and Ron Becker (70). Jeff Byrnes took low gross with a 77, followed by Bob Sobieski (79) and Portano (80). At the July 16 outing, Jeff Kaufman took low net with a 67, followed by Jeff Gulics (68) and Jeff Byrnes (69). John Lay Jr. took the low gross (70), followed by Jeff Kaufman (73) and Jeff Byrnes (74).
At the event, George Martis and Butch Belanger took the low net with a 66, followed by Jeff Kaufman and Ron Becker (68), and George Mesko (70).

At the July 23 event, Becker took low net with a 70, followed by Gulics (70) and Bob Tilley (70). Kaufmann took low gross (76), followed by Grant Herring Sr. (76) and Bob Tilley and Carmine Nesta (78).
At the ABCD Three-Ball event, the team of Joe Horniacek, Tom Taggart, Ron Becker and Paul Patrick took first, followed by the team of Jeff Kaufman, Bob Tilley, Rudy D'Emilio and George Mesko, and the team of Carmine Nesta, Peter Zhong, Herman Suppe and Joe Porrello.
At the Aug. 12 outing, low net went to Mike Weiss with a 66, followed by Wes Traskiewicz (69) and Ray Marko (69). Low gross went to Jeff Byrnes (75), followed by Antonio Toto (76) and Mike Weiss, Wes Traskiewicz and Ray Marko (79).
At the Aug. 13 outing, Bob Sobieski had the low net with a 69, followed by Grant Herring Sr. (69) and Jim Castucci (70). Low gross went to Paul Brown (74), followed by Grant Herring (74) and Bob Sobieski (75).

The Monroe Purple 11-year-old travel baseball team defeated South Wall to win the 2006 USABL Travel Baseball team championship. Monroe went 9-0 in the regular season and with playoff wins over South Brunswick (12-2), the Lacey Lightning (7-6) and Howell (7-6), Monroe advanced to the championship game showdown with Wall, and won 4-0. Monroe Purple emerged as the champs out of 26 teams in four divisions of the USABL Travel League.
The Monroe Purple players are Chris Cordova, Kyle Crothers, Danny Marsh, Wesley Glessman, Zach Gorham, Matt Siemons, Mitchell Martucci, Jordan Jimenez, Danny Soltys, Kevin Hoeler and Nish Patel.
East Brunswick Baseball League's fall baseball, softball and buddy ball registration will be held Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon at Managers Hall, 365 Dunhams Corner Road, East Brunswick. There is a $70 registration fee plus a $50 work bond. Open to nonresidents. New players must bring copy of birth certificate. The 29th Annual Rutgers Junior Girls Open was held Aug. 3 and 4. This was the inaugural year of the two-day tournament for the Junior Miss Division. The girls 18-hole division was won by two newcomers to the tournament. Esther Park of East Brunswick took the winner's trophy by shooting an 86. The runner-up was Jessica Doyle of Monroe, who shot a 93.
The East Brunswick High School Booster Club will hold a golf outing Aug. 21 at the Bunker Hill Golf Course in Griggstown. The cost is $80 per person, and includes greens fees, golf cart, snacks and beverages throughout the day, lunch, and prizes.
