Nina Celona Bugnikos Mrs. Bugnikos, 41, of Milltown, formerly of North Brunswick, died Aug. 10 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a former employee of Milltown Pharmacy. Surviving are her husband, Tony Bugnikos; a daughter, Deanna Bugnikos, at home; her parents, Anthony and Mary Renda Celona of North Brunswick; three sisters, Cathy Egan of Milltown, Anna Crotta of Jackson and Connie DeAndrea of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother-in-law, Robert Nikovics; and seven nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church, New Brunswick. Interment was in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. Dorothy Weseman Daugila Mrs. Daugila, 78, of Manasquan, formerly of South River, died Aug. 16 at home. Prior to her retirement, she was a secretary for many years at Douglass College of Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Her husband, Joseph John Sr., died in 2003. Surviving are three children, Karen Lach of Woodlands, Texas, Theresa Morgan of New Hope, Pa., and Joseph John Jr. of South River; a brother, Edward Weseman of Cummings, Ga.; two sisters, June Kavolius of Blackberry, Va., and Eileen Behme of St. Michaels, Md.; and six grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover. Brenda A. Abbott Dinkel Mrs. Dinkel, 49, of Spotswood, died Aug. 18 at home. She was a bookkeeper for the past six years with Furey and Co., Monroe. Surviving are her husband, Earl Dinkel; a son, Kenneth, at home; her father, Allen Abbott Sr. of Lake Wales, Fla.; two brothers, Allen Abbott Jr. of Lake Wales and James Abbott of Key Largo, Fla.; four sisters, Linda Dabroski, Barbara Mayer and Janet Warley, all of Spotswood, and Laura DeBoy of Manahawkin; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Brookside Cemetery, Spotswood.
Emil Genetelli Mr. Genetelli, 69, of East Brunswick died Aug. 17 in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at Cook College of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, where he was employed for 35 years. Surviving are his wife, Mary White Genetelli; a son, Robert Genetelli of Wantage; two daughters, Theresa Long of Virginia and Ellen Noel of Jamesburg; a sister, Marjorie Zemek of Staten Island, N.Y.; and 13 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew's Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
Elliot Klempner Mr. Klempner, 74, of the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany-Troy Hills, died Aug. 3 in Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover. Surviving are a son, Larry Klempner of Edison; a daughter, Joyce Natale of East Brunswick; two stepdaughters, Laura Poirier and Michelle Rivera; a sister, Helene Rosenthal of Long Island, N.Y.; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Services were held at Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Edison. Interment was in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Margaret A. Keenan Murphy Mrs. Murphy, 98, died Aug. 16 in Willow Creek Nursing Home, Somerset section of Franklin. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Murphy, in 1960, and by several brothers and sisters. Surviving are a son, Edward J. Murphy of Monroe; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Interment was in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
Harold T. Slockbower Mr. Slockbower, 75, of Spotswood, died Aug. 11 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan, in 1990, and by a son, John, in 1987. Surviving are two sons, Tom of Glen Burnie, Md., and Michael of Spotswood; two daughters, Barbara Baglieri of Pine Hill and Karen Morrison of Jackson; a sister, Eleanor Critelli of the Millington section of Passaic; and 10 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Gloria Martha Bielinski Mrs. Bielinski, 68, of the Whiting section of Manchester, formerly of South Amboy, died Aug. 19 in Van Dyke Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Community Medical Center (CMC), Toms River section of Dover. She was part of the administrative staff at Prudential Insurance Co., Cranbury. She was predeceased by her father, Valerius Bielinski. Surviving are a son, John Pyonteck of Monroe; a daughter, Debra Ann Zakrzewski of Sayreville; her mother, Julia Bielinski of Whiting; a brother, Robert Bielinski of South Amboy; a sister, Carol Nemeth of Whiting; five grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to Van Dyke Hospice and Palliative Care Center at CMC, 99 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755-6423. Michael S. Kissling Michael S. Kissling, 26, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Spotswood and East Brunswick, died Aug. 17 in Jacksonville of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Prior to moving to Florida in 2004, he was manager of the Brunswick Grove Restaurant, East Brunswick, where he worked for six years. While in Florida, he joined the Army National Guard. He was placed on active duty and deployed to Iraq, serving at Forward Operating Base Speicher for 13 months. Surviving are his mother, Julie Milazzo of Spotswood; his father, Charles Kissling, and his father's wife, Barbara, of Hayesville, N.C.; a brother, Charles Kissling Jr. of Gainesville, Fla.; and a sister, Alyssa Milazzo of Spotswood. Services were held at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, East Brunswick. Cremation was private.
John J. Mesinger Mr. Mesinger, 78, of South River, died Aug. 18 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1988, he was employed as a chemical operator with BASF Inc., South Brunswick. Prior to that, he worked for 15 years at Hercules Inc., Parlin section of Sayreville. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Gorman Mesinger; three sons, John Mesinger of Mercer, Pa., Nicholas Mesinger of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick and James Mesinger of Tuckerton; a daughter, Gail Schmidt of Monmouth Junction; a sister, Jeanette Kohlhepp of Sayreville; and eight grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.
Victoria M. Mikkelson Pearson Mrs. Pearson, 75, of Shrewsbury, formerly Old Bridge and Long Branch, died Aug. 15 in Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul W. Pearson, in 2004; two sons, William, in 1988, and Paul, in 1992; and by a granddaughter, Michelle Johnston, in 2003. Surviving are two daughters, Margaret "Meg" Palmer of Monroe and Kathryn Poland of Sayreville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
