      Oct. 12-31

      + Dvds4troops Collection, to benefit U.S. troops overseas, sponsored by the Spotswood High School History Club. DVDs and music CDs may be dropped off at the high school, Summerhill Road, in care of Frank Yusko, club adviser. Dvds4troops, begun by Iraqi Freedom veteran Sgt. Kevin Johnson, has established film and music libraries throughout the war zone. Log on to www.dvds4troops.org.

      Oct. 13

      + Phills Brothers Sunshine Magic Circus, to benefit the Hemophilia Association of New Jersey, 7:30 p.m., at East Brunswick High School, Cranbury Road. Two children admitted free of charge with one paid adult. Tickets for adults cost $5 each; available at the door. Call the Hemophilia Association at (732) 249-6000.

      Oct. 13, 14 & 15

      + Lunch or Dinner Fundraiser, sponsored by Jamesburg Elks Lodge No. 2180, at Big Ed's BBQ, 2316 Route 130, Dayton section of South Brunswick. Big Ed's will donate 15 percent of supporters' bills to Jamesburg Elks charitable activities; donations apply to dining in the restaurant, at the bar, takeouts. Fundraiser fliers available at the Elks Lodge, 74 W. Railroad Ave., or from Bill Orpin at Corinthian Capital, 30 W. Railroad Ave.

      Oct. 14

      + Fall Crafts and More Show, sponsored by St. Thomas the Apostle HSA, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the school auditorium, Route 18 south, Old Bridge. Handmade crafts, bake sale, tricky trays, 50/50, shopping with select vendors. Admission and parking free of charge. (732) 866-0482.

      + Yard Sale, sponsored by the Monroe Township High School PTO, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the parking lot at the high school, Perrineville Road. Vendors invited to sell their treasures.       + Candlelit Walking Tours of Historic Chestnut Hill Cemetery, sponsored by the East Brunswick Museum, 5-8 p.m., at the cemetery, Old Bridge Turnpike, near Rues Lane, East Brunswick. Living history re-enactors dressed in period costumes portray historical individuals buried in the cemetery. More than 500 candles in bags light the cemetery paths.       Oct. 15

      + Time for Tea, an afternoon of tea-tasting and tea history, sponsored by the Immaculate Conception Columbiettes, 2-4 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus council home, 30 Crescent Ave., Spotswood.       + Art Auction, sponsored by the Milltown Lions Club, brunch preview begins at 12:30 p.m., auction begins at 2 p.m., at the Milltown Senior Citizen Center, Violet Terrace.
