Local officials honored for service

SCOTT FRIEDMAN Dennis Druzsba, Mickey Hendricks, Tom Stasik and Ray Kelton were honored on Sunday for their 25-plus years of distinguished service by the Central East Jersey Basketball Officials Organization at its monthly meeting in East Brunswick. In recognition of 25-plus years of officiating basketball on the high school level, the NJSIAA and the Central East Jersey Basketball Officials (CEJBO) organization recognized four officials from CEJBO and presented them with their 25-year service awards.

Ray Kelton, of East Brunswick, Mickey Hendricks, of Milltown, Tom Stasik, of Edison, and Dennis Druzsba, of Piscataway, were presented with their awards at the organization's monthly meeting on Sunday at East Brunswick High School.

According to the CEJBO, these four officials have exemplified the highest standards of professionalism throughout their careers while officiating at the highest level of competition throughout the state. They have served as mentors and instructors to those who have come through the Central East Jersey Basketball Officials organization. CEJBO, which operates primarily out of Middlesex County, has over 100 officials who are working at various school levels within the county.
