State's latest tax solution fails to address the real problems
      The state Legislature has been given a deadline by Gov. Jon Corzine to come up with a solution to the high tax problem in New Jersey. Now after some months of committee hearings on the subject, the leadership has announced a partial solution. They propose a 20 percent reduction in local property taxes. And how, they say, will this be achieved? By eliminating the annual property tax rebate!

Does Monroe need another Chabad center?
      I read with great amazement your article titled "Chabad House Plans First Permanent Home" that appeared in the Dec. 7 issue of the Sentinel. I have been involved with the Chabad Jewish Center of Monroe since its inception in 2002 and have actively contributed and supported it in its fantastic growth, reaching out to all segments of our community.
