      Daniel T. Gjertsen

      Mr. Gjertsen, 21, of Monroe Township, died Jan. 1, 2007. He was born in Staten Island, N.Y. A graduate of East Brunswick Vocational-Technical School, Mr. Gjertsen was employed by East Brunswick Township. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church, Helmetta. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Lillian and Albert Gatti of Monroe; his father and stepmother, Robert and Margaret Gjertsen of Old Bridge; a brother and sister-in-law, Christian and Theresa Gjertsen of North Brunswick; and a sister, Alyssa Gatti of Monroe. Arrangements were by Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to The Ronald McDonald House, 145 Somerset St., New Brunswick 08901.

      Antonio Caccamo

      Mr. Caccamo, 68, of Monroe, formerly of Manalapan, died Jan. 7, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Mary Faraci Caccamo; a son, Nunzio of Lake Ariel, Pa.; a daughter, Angela Green of East Brunswick; two sisters, Rose Caruana of Spotswood and Josephine Sarti of Monroe; and a granddaughter. Services were held at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 145 Somerset St., New Brunswick, NJ 08901, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.

      Scott Michael "Scotty" Thibault

      Mr. Thibault, 46, of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., formerly of East Brunswick, died Jan. 13, 2007, at home. He served in the U.S. Marines and later was employed as a truck driver with Raritan Periodical Services, Edison, where he worked until 1996. He was predeceased by his father, Robert. Surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Terry Farver; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Paul and Dunette Thibault, Rob and Lisa Thibault, and Brian Thibault; four nephews and a niece; and many friends and caregivers.       Daniel J. Bergen

      Mr. Bergen, 80, of South River, died Jan. 6, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. A daughter, Susan Bergen Columbo, died in 1983. Surviving are his wife, Regina Mieszkuc Bergen of South River; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Eleanor Bergen of Brick; a daughter, Nancy Bergen, R.N.; two sisters, Gertrude LeGroff of Milltown and Miriam Thorne of Grand Junction, Colo.; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Middlesex County Medical Society Foundation, Susan Bergen Columbo Memorial Scholarship Fund, 575 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.

      Philip N. Richman

      Mr. Richman, 79, of East Brunswick, died Jan. 7, 2007, at home. Prior to his retirement in 1993, he was an owner and printer at Graphic Color Printing Co., South River, for 44 years. Surviving are his wife, Catherine Leixner Richman; a son, Richard of Manalapan; a daughter, Adrienne Rodgers of Denver; a brother, Reuben of the Bronx, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services are planned for noon at Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. Entombment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.       Virginia Peterson

      Mrs. Peterson, 82, of Old Bridge, died Jan. 8, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Raymond, died in 1999, and a grandson, Steven Giordano, died in 2003. Surviving are two daughters, Virginia Giordano, and her husband, David, of the Sewell section of Mantua, and Lauren Serzan, and her husband, Kenneth, of Old Bridge; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.

      Simeon J. Touretzky

      Mr. Touretzky, 77, of Monroe, formerly of Edison, died Jan. 8, 2007, in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Surviving are his wife, Muriel Walter Touretzky; two sons, David S. Touretzky and Ronald G. Touretzky; three nephews, Phillip, Daniel and Edward Dobin; and his first wife, Harriet Rifkin. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin section of Woodbridge.

      Bessie Sauss

      Mrs. Sauss, 95, of Spotswood, died Jan. 11, 2007, in JFK Medical Center, Edison. Her husband, Peter Sauss, died in 1986. Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Farkas of Spotswood; four grandchildren, Kenneth Flick, Pamela Lindgren, Patricia Dayton and Robert Flick; and two great-grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery, North Brunswick.
