      Tickets available for Accordion Pops concert
            The Monroe Township Cultural Arts Commission will present the Accordion Pops Orchestra in concert at 2 p.m. on Feb. 11 at the Richard P. Marasco Center for the Performing Arts, Monroe Township High School, 1629 Perrineville Road. The orchestra, which is made up of accordions and percussion instruments, will perform with a guest tenor singing Italian standards.

            Author Patricia McCormick, who was nominated for a National Book Award for her controversial novel "Sold," will visit the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center, at 2 p.m. on Feb. 7. The program is recommended for students in grade six and up.

      'Father/Daughter Luau' on tap at Milltown school
            Our Lady of Lourdes School, 44 Cleveland Ave., Milltown, will host a "Father/Daughter Luau" dance on Feb. 16. Doors will open at 6 p.m.; dinner and refreshments will be available for purchase. Music and dancing are set for 7-9 p.m. Girls in prekindergarten through eighth grade are invited to bring their fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, big brothers, etc., to the event.

      Registration going on now at B'nai Shalom
            The Early Childhood Learning Center of Temple B'nai Shalom, Fern and Old Stage roads, East Brunswick, is accepting registration for the 2007-08 school year. The school offers classes for children ages 2 1 ¼ 2 to 6. Full-day kindergarten and kindergarten enrichment are also available. Registration for the school's summer program also is ongoing.

            Spotswood High School Project Graduation 2007 will sponsor a Comedy Night fundraiser on Feb. 25 at the Stress Factory, New Brunswick. The event will feature dinner at 5 p.m. A comedy show will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets cost is $30 each and include the show and dinner. Baskets will be raffled off. There will be a 50/50.
