      Knights, Bombers have plenty in Region V mix
      Quarterfinals set for tomorrow night at Hunterdon Central
            To no one's surprise, the Old Bridge Knights cruised to the District 20 team title on Saturday, winning four individual titles and advancing 12 wrestlers to this week's Region V tournament at Hunterdon Central. The Knights scored 238 team points, well ahead of second-place Sayreville (180.5) and third-place Monroe (106).

      Going strong
           MIGUEL JUAREZ staff East Brunswick's Matt Gases goes strong to the basket during the Bears' 71-62 GMCT quarterfinal loss to Cardinal McCarrick on Sunday at Middlesex County College in Edison. The quarterfinals were also unkind to Old Bridge's boys, who fell to South Plainfield, 44-39.

      Lunkenheimer leads list of MOC hopefuls
      Monroe's Ragucci qualifies in two events
            When the boys and girls NJSIAA Meet of Champions (MOC) are held this weekend at the Bennett Indoor Sports Complex in Toms River, local teams will be well represented following a strong showing in last weekend's Group championships. This year's MOC will be held over two days in Toms River. The girls will start it off on Saturday at 11 a.m.
