Too few residents knew about E.B. firehouse vote
By the very low turnout for the East Brunswick firehouse vote ("New Firehouse OK'd in 28-20 Vote in E.B.," Sentinel, Feb. 22), it looks like the only people who knew about the election are people associated with the fire department.
There should be a minimum number of votes before any budget or referendum can be passed. Also, besides not knowing about the election, many people in East Brunswick celebrate the Sabbath on Saturday so they cannot vote.
As per East Brunswick politics, another rise in our taxes squeaked by us.
