      Family extends gratitude to S.R. Fire Dept.

            Thanks to all who attended the South River Office on Aging Fashion Show on March 12.       Freeholders must address, resolve plight of homeless men
            It is obvious that the general public is interested in providing adequate shelters, as evidenced by the articles in the newspapers proclaiming this need. I recently read that Woodbridge is planning to upgrade its shelter to the tune of $750,000 and that the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders has granted $500,000 to Old Bridge toward its shelter.

      Survivor's story serves as reminder of Holocaust
            The Sentinel is to be commended for publishing the haunting article about Murray Goldfinger, a survivor of the Holocaust who met with endless horrors during the World War II ("A Tale of Tragedy, Torture and Survival," March 22).

      Board should spend money on education, not on legal fees
            I completely agree with Florinne Abramowitz and her letter to the editor ("Board Should Live With State Aid, Stop Taking From Taxpayers") published in the March 22 issue of the Sentinel. We purchased our home in East Brunswick seven years ago, and our taxes have almost doubled in that seven years.
