      Old Bridge still the class of the GMC field
            Say this for the Old Bridge boys track and field team: they certainly know how to make a statement. The Knights thoroughly dominated the competition on Saturday en route to winning their sixth consecutive Greater Middlesex Conference championship, beating second-place South Brunswick by 53 points, only 12 points less than the Vikings managed to score as a team.

      Chargers poised to grab some hardware
      Spotswood hitting its stride at the right time
            A blistering .383 team batting average and some superb pitching have vaulted the Spotswood High School baseball team to a 17-4 record, and a No. 2 seed in the upcoming state tournament. And coach Glenn Fredericks is delighted that his Chargers seem to be peaking at the right time.

      Fish On
      It's unanimous - there's plenty of fish in the sea
            High tide or low tide, call them what you want, you can't escape the invasion of chopper blues, gators or spring runners. Bluefishing in the bay is red hot and they will hit almost anything - you can't miss. The trick is to get away from them if you want bass. For some anglers, that is almost impossible, but for others the bass fishing has been incredible.

            Fast Break Basketball Association Inc. will hold registration for the 2007-08 season, 9-11 a.m. June 2. On this day, registration will be in-person only. Mail-in registrations will be accepted after June 2. Registrations mailed in before June 2 will be returned to the sender. East Brunswick residents will be given first priority on closed-out programs.
