            The U11 boys soccer team, the Galaxy, continued its winning ways recently in the Mid-Atlantic Premier League (MAPS). On May 19, playing a doubleheader, the Galaxy tied LSTS, 1-1, and enjoyed a win over Livingston, 4-0. The Galaxy playing out of the East Brunswick Soccer League, regularly competes against the top teams in the state.

      Lunkenheimer's four medals pace local athletes
            Old Bridge's Allan Lunkenheimer has certainly earned his place among the state's top track stars. The Old Bridge senior put forth a virtuoso performance at the Central Jersey Group IV championships over the weekend to lead his team to a strong second-place showing (72) points behind team champion Trenton Central (116).

            The Central New Jersey Silver Bullets Wild Mustangs, out of East Brunswick, a fall U15 girls team, will be holding tryouts on June 6 and 7 at Warnsdorfer School, 9 Hardenburg Lane East Brunswick.       Anglers hit pay dirt with season's best fishing
            Ro n N uzzolo Fish On Capt. Steve from Reel Fantasea Charters, Barnegat Light, reported back-bay fishing remains on fire. Dave Hook, with girlfriend Becky Wilson, was out for nonstop action, snagging large blackfish up to 9 pounds and also caching striped bass as well.
