Communities bolstered team during season
On behalf of the entire Spotswood High School baseball team and coaches, I would like to thank the communities of Spotswood, Milltown and Helmetta for everything they have done for us during the season.
This was the first year that the Spotswood High School varsity baseball team was able to play a home game in front of a Milltown home crowd. We thank the Milltown Little League for its support, and we are grateful to the many people of Milltown who helped to make that possible.
Also, we would like to thank the Spotswood Little League for inviting us to its picnic. It means a lot to us because that is where many of our players started to play baseball.
We also want to thank everyone who came to the Toms River section of Dover to cheer us on during the state final game, and those who came to the county finals at Middlesex County Vocational and Technical High School, East Brunswick.
We would also like to thank the Spotswood Fire Department, Police Department and Rescue Squad for the warm welcome and parade we received upon returning home from the state game.
Also, thanks go to the Spotswood Board of Education and the Spotswood High School administration for all their support.
It truly was an unbelievable season, and we really appreciated all the support from our communities.
