East Brunswick Baseball League will be holding fall 2007 registrations, for baseball and softball at Managers Hall on Dunhams Corner Road in East Brunswick, on the following dates and times: Thursday Aug. 16 from 7-9 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to 12, and Thursday, Aug. 23 from 7-9 p.m. Forms and additional information can be found at www.ebbl.org

The Central Jersey Lightning 16U women's fastpitch softball team concluded its 2007 summer/spring season with a 29-17-1 overall record. They are the 2007 ISA State Fastpitch 16U Tournament champions and amassed a record of 5-4-1 record at the FAST National Tournament, in Orlando, Fla. They are led by the strong pitching of Maggie McSpadden and Samantha Ur, who combined for an ERA of under two runs per game. They hit over .300 as a team while competing in Pony, ISA and FAST tournaments. They were also led by the strong hitting of Jennifer Bennett, Kristen Fiumecaldo, Kristen Bennett, Rachel Waldorf, Katie Jankowski, Carrie Wan, Victoria Breen, Dee Boehm and Nicole Bornkamp. Tryouts will be held on Sept. 9, at 11 a.m. at the East Brunswick Vo Tech High School. Further information an be found at www.centraljerseylightning.com.

Registration is currently under way for Milltown fall baseball. Forms are available at borough hall or by logging on to the Web site, www.leaguelineup.com/mll. Just click on handouts and then fall registration. The fall season begins on Saturday, Sept. 8. Please get your forms in as soon as possible to be a part of the action. The Old Bridge Hustlers U14 girls softball team will have open tryouts Saturday, Aug. 19 at Cheesequake softball field. Tryouts are open to players born in 1993 and 1994. The Hustlers look to build upon a strong spring/summer campaign in which the team posted a 56-7-1 record while winning nine tournaments and gaining two national bids.
