      Sponsorships available for OLOL Fall Festival
            Our Lady of Lourdes (OLOL) School, 44 Cleveland Ave., Milltown, will hold its second annual Fall Festival from 5-11 p.m. on Sept. 28, noon to 10 p.m. on Sept. 29, and 1-6 p.m. on Sept. 30 outdoors on the school grounds. The event will feature food, music and more. All proceeds will go toward the long-term preservation and maintenance of the school.

      Knitters invited to workshop at library
            A knitting workshop is planned for 7-9 p.m. on Aug. 27 in the meeting room at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center. Instructor Sandy Kandel will be on hand to troubleshoot projects. Interested individuals may drop in any time from 7-9 p.m. to receive expert advice.

      Temple sisterhood to host rummage sale
            The Sisterhood of Temple Beth El, JFK Boulevard and DeMott Lane, Somerset section of Franklin, will hold a rummage sale from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 26. Donations may be dropped off between 9:30 and 11 a.m. on the day of the sale. Items needed are ladies, men's and children's clothing including footwear, suits, shirts, jackets, ties, pants, coats, hats, accessories, etc.

      Applications available for EBHS preschool
            The East Brunswick High School (EBHS) Family and Consumer Science Department is now accepting applications for its Preschool Education Program to be held at the high school, Cranbury Road. The program is open to East Brunswick residents who will be 3 years old by Jan. 1, 2008, but who are no older than 4 years, 8 months.

      Milltown rec offering trips to zoo, Broadway
            The Milltown Department of Recreation will sponsor two upcoming trips open to residents and nonresidents. An excursion to the Bronx Zoo is planned for Sept. 30. Cost is $25 per person for adults, $21 for children, $22 for seniors. Fee includes bus transportation and admission to the zoo. The bus will depart from Borough Hall at 9 a.m. Registration deadline is Sept. 14.

            The East Orange High School classes of 1952 and 1953 will hold a reunion Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. at Spano's Restaurant in the White Sands Resort, Point Pleasant.       Outlet-mall trip will benefit church
            Sayreville United Methodist Church, 406 Main St., will sponsor a Sept. 8 fundraising bus trip to The Crossings Premium Outlets, Tannersville, Pa. The bus will depart at 9 a.m. from the parking lot at the Sayreville Senior Center, Main Street, across from the church. Departure from the outlet mall will be at 4 p.m.

      'Joseph' auditions on tap for Aug. 27, 28
            Auditions for the upcoming Triple H Productions' musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" are set for 6:30-10 p.m. on Aug. 27 and 28 in the gymnasium at St. Stanislaus Kostka School, 225 MacArthur Ave., Sayreville. Students in kindergarten-12th grade are encouraged to try out. All roles are open. Audition should come prepared with 16 bars of a song and sheet music.
