Applications available for EBHS preschool
The East Brunswick High School (EBHS) Family and Consumer Science Department is now accepting applications for its Preschool Education Program to be held at the high school, Cranbury Road. The program is open to East Brunswick residents who will be 3 years old by Jan. 1, 2008, but who are no older than 4 years, 8 months. Participants must be toilet trained and have up-to-date immunizations. Program applications may be picked up in the main office at EBHS or in the district administration building, 760 Route 18. Grand opening set for S.R. Skate, BMX Park
The borough of South River Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor the grand opening of the South River Skate and BMX Park beginning at 11 a.m. on Aug. 25 at Varga Park and Pacer's Field, William Street. The event will feature skateboard and BMX demonstrations, food, music, prizes, giveaways and best-trick contests (free to enter, helmets required). Rosary Society plans fall trip to Las Vegas
St. Stanislaus Kostka Rosary Altar Society will sponsor an Oct. 13-17 trip to Las Vegas. Cost is $599 per person (plus $46 in taxes and fees), based on double occupancy, and includes round-trip air from Newark Airport, four nights at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino, bellman services, round-trip transfers and all taxes. Tale of 'Sleeping Beauty' to come to life in Parlin
The Sayreville Main Street Theatre Company will present its Kidworks production of "Sleeping Beauty" at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sept. 8 and 15 and 2 p.m. on Sept. 9 at the Main Street Theatre, 3018 Bordentown Ave. Tickets cost $6 each. Seniors will sponsor September trip to D.C.
Our Lady of Victories Seniors will sponsor a Sept. 22-24 trip to Washington, D.C. The bus will depart at 8 a.m. on Sept. 22 from the lower parking lot at Our Lady of Victories Parish, Main Street, Sayreville. Cost is $279 and includes bus transportation, two nights lodging, four meals (two breakfasts and two dinners), a guided tour of Washington and an evening motor tour.
