In times of emergency the difference between life and death can be a matter of seconds, and that is why I am truly grateful that Monroe's mayor and Township Council are so supportive of emergency services in our community.

The equipment is state of the art, and the training of the emergency medical technicians (EMTs) is extensive. It is comforting to know that these services are available, and it is equally comforting to know that Mayor Richard Pucci and the council will continue to make sure that we have first-rate emergency services.

And those of use who live in Monroe know that this kind of dedication to providing excellent services can never be taken for granted.
