Monroe needs Koppel-Egierd to continue work on council
We expect a lot from our local leaders. We expect them to be honest, trustworthy and fair. We want them to have our best interests at heart. We expect them to be able to stand up for what they believe in and fight hard on important issues. We demand that they be responsible and not abuse their position. We want them to care about what is important to us and to support our goals. Leslie Koppel- Egierd brings all those fine qualities to her position as a member of the Monroe Township Council.
Leslie was born and raised in Monroe. She graduated summa cum laude from Hunter College, New York City, and now tackles life with the same high standards that she held as a student. She is a natural leader, as we have seen in her actions as president of the Barclay Brook/Brookside PTA and now as our councilwoman. Leslie does not shy away from challenges, and she is unafraid to voice her beliefs.
She is a tireless advocate for education, and as a founding member of Kids 1st, she continues to work on behalf of Monroe's young families. She served on the Board of Education Ad Hoc and Strategic Planning Committee, Community Relations Committee and Drug Task Force.
With three generations of family still living in Monroe, she is a strong advocate for our active adults as well. She has the best interests of our town at heart and truly loves living here. Her vision is for a Monroe that supports the needs of all our residents - young families, young-at-heart seniors and everyone in between. Monroe is a better place because of her, and we need her to continue working for us on the council.
This year Leslie will seek election for her appointed council seat. Please join me in supporting my friend, Leslie Koppel Egierd, in November. A vote for Leslie is a vote for the best Monroe can be.
