      At 79, a local legend is still getting his kicks
      Al Frank continues to inspire in the soccer club he helped found
            EAST BRUNSWICK - As one of the cofounders of the East Brunswick Soccer Club, Alois "Al" Frank taught hundreds of local kids the ins and outs of playing soccer. Today, he is still inspiring players, only now they are a little bit older. But then so is he.

            The Monmouth University women's field hockey team was hoping to christen its new turf field in style this past weekend. Unfortunately it didn't work out for the Hawks, as they lost a pair of games on their new field to fall to 4-9 on the season and 3-2 in Northeast Conference play.

            The weather has finally cooled off with a good amount of rain and temperature change. The wait is on anglers from Montauk Point to Barnegat Light who have had enough of the big chopper blues invading the surf and corralling the peanut bunkers into an all-you-can-eat buffet.
