Democrats' campaign literature does not reflect reality
Irecently received a flier in the mail from the "Middlesex Democratic Team." Three major topics mentioned in the mailing under the heading "Protecting What Makes Our County Great," making county services work better, for less, were: working to lower property taxes; protecting more than 7,000 acres of open space; reducing local traffic.

Don't allow legislators to borrow more

Town boasts lowest average crime rate in county
One of the benefits of living in Monroe is the consistently low crime rate here. As reported in the New Jersey State Police Uniform Crime statistics, our township has the lowest average crime rate of all the 25 municipalities in Middlesex County for the past five years.

Kudos to town for preserving local history
The Monroe Township Historic Preservation Committee recently unveiled a plaque dedicating Dey Farm, the only working historic farm in Middlesex County. I think it is important that we preserve our local history, and the fact our township is dedicated to keeping our heritage alive, both by thoughts and deeds, means a great deal.

'Dirty politics' persuades Republican to vote Democrat
Iam a registered Republican and have voted that way for the past 21 years and was planning to do so in the coming general elections Nov. 6. After reading the article in your Sept. 27 issue ("Republican quits over phony Baroni letter") about Ms.
